From the time we signed the contract, it has been nothing but a headache. We were told jobs were out about 3 weeks, they took about 6 to just remove the concrete. Then we had to wait about a week anf half for the pour when we were told the pour usually gets scheduled within a few we days after the removal process. During the removal, they ruined our new sod we had put down, they left concrete peices on the front grass area, and they left other material (trash) as well. There was no communication as to when the pre-pour inspection would happen, there was no communication as to when the pour was scheduled. It wasn't until I called the company and told them about their horrible communication practices that they actually started to communicate with me. Then the pour date arrives, and they arrive much later than the time I was given. At that time, we asked about how long it would take for the framing to be removed? Since we have never had a project like this done, we didn't know the time frame for something like this. The guy on the job told me the framing would be removed the next day. The next day came and went and the framing was still there. The 3 days later Fortis emails me about the next steps and I replied saying the framing was still there and once again I asked when it would be removed? They replied the weekend after the pour is when the framing usually gets removed and they said they messaged rhe *******. It has now been a week after the pour, the framing is still there, I messaged the foremans (there are 2 on the pamphlet and we don't know which one is ours) and we have yet to hear back from them. If I would have known how unprofessional this company is, I would have NEVER agreed to let them work on our driveway. I would definitely not recommend Fortis to anyone. There is no communication, they are very unprofessional, and after they get paid, apparently they don't care to finish the job. By the way, payment was due on the day of the pour, which we gave them.

Highly reliable regional business in the residential ******************************** business. Recommended but they're popular so plan ahead (secure off season permit) so you can get in queue

Last fall, 2022, Fortis ***************** (based in ******** did a concrete job for our neighbors, good friends who live across our back alley. Fortis laid concrete to prevent water from gathering at the base of our neighbors' house. Two consequences resulted from their execution of the job. First, they tore up the brickwork and landscaping steel on our property and failed to restore either to pre-work condition as they had promised. Our neighbors apologized and had them come out again. Fortis workers vaguely tossed the bricks back in an approximation of the original configuration and completely ignored the twisted-up landscaping steel. I had to call my landscaper to return the steel to its original condition. I fixed the bricks myself. Second, and a bigger consequence, Fortis's work redirecting our neighbors' drainage resulted in the water now collecting inches deep around OUR foundation, also unacceptable to our neighbors who didn't anticipate this result as they are not engineers; they trusted Fortis's expertise in this regard. Our neighbors thoughtfully tried to get Fortis to come back and re-do the work to send the drainage away from BOTH houses. We reached out to Fortis as well. Fortis quoted us for a new job. When we asked what discount they were willing to offer us, since the issue was their fault to begin with, the representative replied, "As far as you not having an issue, that entire property has issues and you can't stitch one without sticking [sic] it all". We replied saying that we wished this good advice, foresight, and consideration had been employed before their organization created the issues we now face with water gathering at our foundation. The rep ghosted us. This spring we are now solving at our own expense the problem that Fortis created. Our kind neighbors have offered to help. Four neighbors agree: Fortis provided a sloppy, unprofessional, and unsatisfactory business experience. Buyer, beware.
