    My mom passed away at OSF Rockford Hospital on April 24 2025. This hospital did not have the empathy to contact me her daughter to come to the hospital due to my mom was dying. I found out on my mom mychart she had died at 642 pm. I immediately called the hospital they hung up on me. When I called again and spoke to the floor nurse she coldly asked me if I wanted to see her body, I said no and gave her the cremation location. They have sent to my home address on a monthly basis her bill. I called after the first statement to the billing department to informed them this will have to be a charity case since there was no money. Social Security and her pension tooked all the money back. I have never received any kind of phone call to say they were sorry. Also I complained about her room very dirty blood on the floor so much stuff in there it looked like a storage room. I will never take a person there for care if it was the last hospital in this world. Prior to this hospital stay she was in the emergency room at least twice they sent her home. Even her primary care provider dismiss the swelling since January that my mom has having. She had over 20 pounds of fluid in her body. Apparently OSF should find providers that know how to care for the elderly. I still cry when I think due to the uncaring staff at OSF I wasn't there to hold her hand and say it's ok to go. Also I find they lied when I picked up her remain from the cremation site OSF stated on the paper they had notified me. What a lied.

    In hospital food is terrible always very cold never get what you order. They own half of ****** yet they can not afford decent food. Pretty pathetic the food is always COLD AND AS I SAID NEVER GOT WHAT I ORDERED. The food was good quality BUT ICE COLD AND THE ICE CREAM IS HOT AND MELTED SURELY SOMEONE CAN ADDRESS AND FIX THIS BAD PROBLEM THE SURGERY group was totally blowing me and insisted I was being sent home I asked for labs to be done before discharge the surgeon refused I finally went into a rapid uncontrolled atrial fibrillation and called my own specialist who came in and got them to order labs my potassium was 2.6 had I got discharged as they were insisting they were going to do I do not at all doubt I would have died. Pathetic food and pathetic surgery group. Really sad. My own specialist had to come in and get me IV fluid and labs done with me begging all day. It is sad and yes I am sure I would have died had my own specialist not interceded for me.
