We recently purchased a new Shure wireless mic system for our middle school, utilizing their SLXD4D receiver, with the intent of using it for school plays and board meetings. The product overview states that "Spectrum-efficient digital transmission technology allows for up to 32 mics to be used at once", so we bought one receiver and 16 mics. However, when setting up the system, we found that it could only support two microphones at a time. When I reached out to their support team, they told me that we had "misinterpreted" the promotional materials, and that each microphone would require its own channel, meaning we would need a minimum of 8 receivers (with two channels) each in order to use all of the microphones. When I asked why, they gave me a technical explanation that makes sense, but I still feel the product overview is deceptive, if not intentionally false, advertising. For some context, I am not an audio engineer - I work in the IT department, where we work with other wireless systems all the time. In my day-to-day experience, I utilize systems that allow dozens or hundreds of connections through a single receiver, with the only limitation being the speed of the connection, so when I read "allows for up to 32 mics at once", I will take that at its face value, as I'm sure other ****** would do. Nowhere in the product description does it state that the system will only support 1-2 devices per receiver, depending on the model. Had we known that there was this limitation, we would never have gone with this system, as it very nearly doubles the cost, putting it well outside our budget.

I have a pair of costly SE535 in ear monitors and have had them for years . Both stems broke so I sent them in for repair with a credit card to cover the cost. They sent me a brand new pair at no cost. They were long out of warranty ! One of them never made a good connection because the post on the connector was faulty. Again they sent a replacement at no cost ! I own quite a few Shure products and am very happy with great customer service in a world where it is rare to even get a reply.
