2/13/24 contracted with ***************************** of Tip Top Paving to dig out and redo driveway for $4000 with work to start ********* depending on weather. A $1500 deposit was requested at signing of contract with balance of $2500 on completion of work. According to the contract if we were "to decide not to have job completed, 30% of price mentioned will be paid for services rendered". (No services were rendered and no update was ever received as to when an actual start date would occur!) On 5/6/24 at 7:15am I called to have the job cancelled as we suddenly had a family medical issue occur and I knew we could not have work started as we could not pay the balance. I was told by ******** he would hand deliver the $300 on 5/12/24 or 5/13/24. Nothing received. On 5/21/24 I sent a letter with a stamp self-addressed envelope to us enclosed requesting a check for the $300 we were due. No response. Resent the letter on 6/4/24. No response. Called at 7:00am on 6/17/24 and left vm. ******** called back and he said he received the letter, but forgot and would have his secretary mail check on 6/18/24. No check received. Called on 6/27/24 and left vm that this was bordering on the ridiculous and do I need to drive down there to get my money. No response. On 7/1/24 I called and ******** answered and said they had a new grandchild and things busy but a check was mailed 6/27/24. To date no check has been received. We are in our late 70"s and I know age has nothing to do with it but this just seems like a scam played on us because at the time of the signing of the contract he made a point of telling us we were getting the job $2000 cheaper than the neighbor down the road. We would at least like our $300 back! even though technically no services had been performed and no update had ever been received as to when an actual start date would occur. We have never incurred something like this with other vendors doing work on our home over the years!

TipTop Paving did an asphalt driveway in August 2023. It looked good but it was not seal coated bi was told this is a safety measure, seal coat would be slippery when wet. During the winter the cold caused driveway to heave and we couldn't get out the back door. Called, no response. In spring 2024 we started having grass and weeds growing thru the driveway the entire length of the house. Called at least 3 times. No response. Early April, ***** stopped by to see how we liked their work, we showed him the vegetation, he said it was because it wasn't seal coated. We agreed to pay $600 more when he came back in 2 weeks. No show. Called and texted him 16 times, no answer. Driveway now looks like a garden and we have no choice but to call someone else to fix the problem. When we first contracted with Tip Top for $6000, we were told we had a 3 year warranty on their work. Warranty can be for 1000 years but if nobody honors it, the warranty is useless. I urge anyone reading this to find someone else to do the work. Top Top driveway is ok but for the money you could do better

They paved my driveway august 9th of 2022 and said they would be back to seal coat my other driveway the following week. After many phone calls and excuses from the owner, its now almost a year later and the work hasnt been done.
