We contracted with Jerusalem Construction to build a garage in our backyard. During construction there were a number of issues, but they appeared to be resolved. The contract specifically warranted that "the Work shall be in accordance with Contract Documents, applicable law and trade standards and free from material structural defects, improper workmanship or defective materials.Since construction ended (April/May 2022) there have been a number of issues that have arisen from large cracks in the concrete that they poured to improper installation of facia and windows. We have tried to work with Jerusalem to resolve these problems. Initially they kept putting us off telling us they would get to it. Finally they told us they want to have nothing more to do with us. We asked them to enter mediation as required under the contract, or have their attorney contact us to resolve the issues, but these requests have been ignored. Now we need to pay others to fix Jerusalem's mistakes.

Certainly, there were some complications and delays in the construction of the garage, all this due to the weather, we began the construction of the garage on November 2, the construction started normal but as we progressed the weather did not allow us to work, since winter began and it is not possible to doing a lot of outside work, we finished concrete and passed all inspections, we finished framing and passed all oak park city inspections ******************** and Jerusalem Construction agreed to wait until weather allowed to start the stucco, then we continued with the project, at the time of finishing some things had to be repaired, each and every one of ************************ requirements were repaired and changed, we completely changed the fascia since some parts looked like waves, the wrap of the windows we installed it correctly, we sealed everything, we repaired everything until we left them a beautiful garage, we even repaired s the door that they bought and it had a malfunction, mr. ******* began to treat us aggressively, one day some of my workers came to his property to work and he forced us to knock on the front door, say that we were going to work on his property, say the name of each person who was on his property, and How did another worker arrive after we were already working and he knew we were there, he went out to his garage and kicked my worker out of his property for not knocking on the front door before entering his garage, even though there were already my workers on his property that day.
even with that we continued working on his property, later he deducted money from the payment of one of my invoices, arguing that he decided to deduct money because it took me longer than the date he wanted me to finish, that is not specified in the contract he invented it .
even with that we continued working on his property until everything was finished, he began to install the drywall and one of the doors stopped working, we went to see the problem and explaining to him that the wire was possibly damaged by a drywall s**** or the same drywall, his reaction was extremely aggressive as he touched my subcontractor's back and yelled, saying that this was a lie because he had installed the drywall, even with that we repaired the problem and continued working, we finished the project, we repaired everything but recently there was a water leak in his garage, when we looked for what the problem was, we found that it was due to a bad installation of an external electrical box, Jerusalem was not contracted to do the electricity, that is a contractor outside of us, for which it is specified in the contract. so it's not our responsibility, he was mad because he wanted we repaired,  he also threatened to *** a case.
The work is completely finished, he did not have to pay anything extra because we solved everything on time,

we have nothing else to do in his garage.
******************** owes us $340.00 that he doesn't want to pay and threatens to *** a case all the time.
