    I paid for a Caterpillar C18 engine on the 05/01/2023 and was told it will become available for delivery in 12 weeks time but till date 05/13/2024 I did not receive any supply nor a refund be asking for my refund till date I need your office to help me settle this case thanks

    *************** ordered a specialty **** engine. We define this as an engine specific to a particular piece of equipment or purpose. These products are non-refundable as they are only for a specific purpose. Because of manufacturing delays due to continuing supply chain shortages, many parts specific to this product were unavailable for an extended time. The engine was finally completed. *************** then informed us that he no longer wanted the product and wanted a refund. We told him that was not possible, However we assured him we would actively market this product through all of our sales channels in an attempt to resell it on his behalf. It continues to be actively advertised on our website and many other worldwide marketplaces. When this product is sold to another consumer, we will process a refund to Mr. ******* ******* HOI Parts.
     
    Also during this delay, he filed a complaint with the Illinois Consumer affairs division. These same facts have been related to them and they consider the matter temporarily closed at this time.
