    9 7 23. I purchase a transmission from AutoZone, the manager there assured me that a transmission would be there next day. When the transmission came in the next day it was the incorrect transmission, so on 10 8 23, they up charged me for another that transmission would take two weeks to come in. Within 24 hours of transmission being installed it had started failed. Contacted AutoZone, they ordered another would take 2 weeks to come in. Within three days it failed. Contacted AutoZone, they ordered another would take 2 weeks to come in and one week it had failed. Called AutoZone and spoke to the manager he told me he would order a new one with no upcharge. After a week of not hearing from him I went into the store to see what progress was made and to finalize it. The AutoZone manager informed me that he could order a new transmission but I would have to pay an upcharge again. I reminded him of the promises he made to me over the phone, he said there was nothing more he could due and left it at that. He will no longer talk to me about the subject. Since then, the transmission has failed and the mechanic that was doing the work of installing and reinstalling the transmission will not work on it because he has not been paid yet for the last two transmission replacement from AutoZone. I had to that the Truck to another Mechanic and he inspected and rebuilt it, I was informed that the transmission housing was the correct year for my vehicles but the internals where from two different model years older and that was the reason for the failure. The cost for the rebuild was out of my pocket and was completed May 08 2024. I have been calling AutoZone regional form April till present and the Antioch Il regional Manager finally returned my call July 11 2024 telling me he would call me back after he investigating this issue. Today is August 21 2024 and I have not heard back from him yet.
