    Hi, my name is ****** ****. We had a reservation for a 26 moving truck with Budget.We picked up our truck in *****, ID on Thursday, May 29th. We were set to drop it off in ***************, ** on Tuesday, June 3rd. My dad had offered to drive the truck.Confirmation #************* Roadside reference #******* I began to go into a detailed timeline of what happened but realized it was too long to fit here. Im more than happy to pass on the email of all the details, timeline, receipts, etc that I sent to Budget if you would like it. Long story short, we rented a moving truck that had mechanical issues within the first day. Budget essentially left my dad stranded in ********** with a broken down truck for days. He was told 1) he wasnt allowed to drive the truck in its current condition 2) they didnt have any replacement trucks available 3) towing the truck the remainder of the way needed approval from a supervisor (who they promised for days would call us back and never once did).When I called to let the drop off location know the truck didnt make the drive so we wouldnt be able to drop it off, they informed me that I would be charged for additional days for each day that went ***** this point we felt we had no options. My dad missed 2 flights, 2 days of work, paid for meals and hotels while getting absolutely nowhere. 4 days had gone by still no trucks were ************ dad was forced to head home and our truck was no stuck without a driver or anyone to look after it.We hired a tow truck so we could re-gain possession of our belongings and return the truck.We reached out to Budget for weeks being trying to resolve this with them the losses that they asked us to prove surpassed $4,458.18. They agreed we deserved to be compensated yet their final offer to us was for $472.50. We are exhausted.

    We are very sorry for the problems these folks have had with their rental. In this case however, and with any of the rentals we do, **** Budget Group handles and is responsible for any claims that may be made. We have passed all our information to our District Manager for Budget Truck on this issue and they are aware of the problem also. I can only give the customer the **************** number which I'm sure they have already used.
