    Details:1. 10/15/2024 2. $233.20 3. Big Ten Towing provided me nothing besides grief. The two women working at the desk laughed after I paid their ridiculous bill and was walking out the door. It appeared that they took pleasure in profiting from someone else's misfortune. They would not release my vehicle from the impound lot until I paid their ridiculous fee's. Their business model is extortion. And their business practices are nothing short of predatory. This business has preyed on college students and their families for decades. They have contracted with area landlords to patrol and monitor parking lots in *********. They tow vehicles daily costing unsuspecting college students and their families hundreds of dollars per instance. Many of the vehicles they tow are in parking spots that are paid for by students. But, if someone forgets to put a parking placard in their window for a few hours Big Ten Towing seizes the opportunity to tow the vehicle and hold the vehicle ****** until they are paid. Their only goal is tow as many cars as they can every day to pad their own pockets. They are relentless, unforgiving predators that prey on everyone in the area. This is not a business that is interested in being part of the community, or giving back to a community. Their only interest is what they can take from people in the community. Very sad and pathetic business. The owners of this company should be held liable for all the pain and suffering they have caused the people of *********. Just completely shameful.

    We are instructed by owners of the buildings to manage the parking lots. The lease agreements the landlords have with the renters regarding parking specifically states, in roughly 10 different areas of the lease, the instructions for ensuring the lease agreement tag is hung from the rear-view mirror. In this particular case, we waived 1 day of storage fees for the customer. He was very aggressive to our staff using vulgar language and cussing at them and tried to slam our door as he left. He questioned why he needed to show proof of insurance, and this is a state law that we ensure the vehicle is insured before leaving our property. As one of our drivers walked him to his vehicle, he was very upset and cussing at him also. Parking is very limited in this area that is why it is so important everyone has the tag in their vehicle, and follows the instructions given to them in their lease agreement. Our business model is not extortion or predatory. Our business model is to take care of customers in need, to do it quickly, safely and reliably. We do give back to the community through several organizations, volunteering and donating time and money to help our community prosper. We live and work in this community. We do not have a goal of getting as many cars as we can. Our goal is to provide a superior service to those in need and again, to do it quickly, safely and reliably. We are proud of the services we provide and the staff we have.
