      The ***** association has been using this company for trash pickup since 2000. The last couple of years, they have been charging between $400 and $500 a month. I called today to find out why it was so high and the sales representative, **** ****, stated no one had been watching the account and that percentage increases through the years had accumulated to make this over priced. He did note that these increses were to offset costs and inflation. Clearly these high rates were not based on costs or inflation. They offered to provide the service for under $100 going forward and apologized, There was no offer of a refund. He also noted there was no written contract in force.

      I spoke with Ms ******* the Treasurer for Alta Vista Apartments on 1/7/2025.  Ms ****** was asking that Waste Connections do a final empty of our container on Friday, Jan 10th and then remove our equipment.  I spoke at length with Ms ****** about the services we provide and the costs associated and how pricing is established based on various factors.  Ms ****** had her mind made up that they no longer wished to do business after this Friday.  I told her that we valued her business over the past several years and that hopefully one day we could earn her business back.  I let her know that Friday would be her last collection day and that we would prorate her final invoice since she was not using services through the end of the month.

      I am rejecting this response because: they did not address the years of over pricing.  In my conversation with the sales manager noted in the company's response, she would not provide me any information about what their current rates are.  We are discontinuing service because we can get the same service for 20-25% of the amount they have been charging for the last few years.  Their own sales representative admitted that their practice of increasing existing customers' rates on a percentage basis affected long time customers negatively.

      I sold my property in November 2023. I went to the companys office in person before the transaction date to give them notice that my service should be terminated on the transaction date. I also provided my real estate agents contact info so they can get the new owners information. They have been refusing to terminate my service, citing they never got the new owners information. I have been billed hundreds of dollars every month for services at a property I do not live in and do not own.

      On 11/16/2023 ***************** stopped into our office at **********************************************************************; to let us know that she was selling her property at the end of November but that she didn't have any information on the buyer.  I let her know that we would like to get the new owner information to hopefully transition the waste removal services over to them due the existing agreement we had in place for these services.  I gave her my business card to pass along to her realtor.  On 11/21/2023,  I emailed ***************** to see if she had any information and to confirm if the sale had gone through, no response from Iris was ever received.  4/2/2023 was the next time we heard back from Iris, it was then that she gave us the name and phone ***********************, the realtor to reach out to.  We attempted to get information from **************** with Remax, but on 4/8/2024 Iris informed us that ***** is no longer affiliated with Remax and it was at that time we removed our container and have issued credit of $231.32 for months:  December 2023, January 2024, February 2024 and March 2024, for a total credit of $925.28.   Customer was not billed for April *************** A phone call was attempted to notify Iris of this on 4/9/2024, but there was no answer and voice mail indicated that it was full.
