      After signing the lease, I got word of the awful reputation Haverkamp Properties has and wanted to cancel my lease. They told me there is no way I can cancel my lease so I'm stuck in a lease for a property I have no intention of staying in. I've heard the building is unsafe, maintenance is terrible, people party and make lots of noise, and the rooms are smaller than the unit they show you. I tried to sublease on ********** website and ******** Marketplace but I am by no means the only person stuck in this predicament. I've had zero luck in finding anyone to take over the lease and I already have an apartment I'm much happier with. I can't survive and pay for 2 leases. It should be illegal to have a lease without a clause allowing you to get out of the contract if something unexpected happens or you have worries about the safety of the property.
