    On February 25, 2025, ***************************, a 501c3 non-profit organization (the "Foundation") made a payment in the amount of $2,226.55 to Koa Events, LLC (Koa Events) pursuant to a contract dated February 20, 2025, for an event scheduled for March 28, 2025, then postponed, and later canceled by the Foundation on April 21, 2025.The Foundation made its initial request for return of the $1,726.55 payment ($2,226.55 minus the $500 non-refundable deposit) on April 21, 2025, and Koa Event's acknowledgment of that request was received on May 9, 2025. Since that time, the Foundation has made multiple additional attempts to communicate with Koa's Events regarding the matter, including several follow-ups by phone and email, none of which have received any response.On July 28, 2025, the Foundation sent a demand letter to Koa's Events for a refund of $1,726.55 immediately. The letter noted that pursuant to Paragraph 15 of the contract between the Foundation and Koas Events, more than thirty (30) days had passed since the Foundation's initial request, and that the Foundation is entitled to pursue mediation. The Foundation also noted that we are hoping to amicably resolve this issue as soon as possible. The letter requested a response within ten (10) days of the date of this letter, and none was received within that timeframe.
