HORRIBLE SERVICE! I was a patient there for roughly 5 months. The groups at Women's Residential were open groups but if you did not respond in the manner they wanted you to respond you where not participating correctly. The structure of the program there is NONE! It takes roughly 1-2 months before you can actually speak with a Counselor/Case Manager. They are HYPER focus on Care's and Concerns more than one's reason on why they are there for treatment. I can recall me reaching out to the advocate because the way book-study was operated I did not understand. The ladies where playing cards, chatting, and some where doing nails. I'm new to recovery so I knew that wasn't the way it should be ran. I was told by the director to take the lead..How when I'm new I was thinking. The professionalism is AWFUL! The Counselor/Case Manager has no dignity that you are there for RECOVERY and feel it's okay to be DISGRACEFUL to you. As one told me I was Princess Chandler. What a thing to say to someone in recovery. Also, while wanting 1:1 sessions I was advise to read Women's of Addiction and write a 2 page essay every week for session. Have I yet talked about my problem with a Case Manager? NO! When it came to family support I was declined that option.I was told that was an option and my son was too old. My Care Plans were not done accurate, when asked can I follow the care plan the subject was always changed to something else. When it came to supervision 24 hours. It was I just had somewhere to stay because I never seen anyone do a room check unless the staff felt like catty talking with certain clients. And the maintenance man is very inappropriate. I was being said sexual wording about what I had on. Once reported to my sponsor who reported to director. A week later I was discharged for reasons I have never been on a contract for. This is just a big rooming house with a service fee $124 a week. I still lived with an intoxicated (liquor in apartments) environment.
