    I have a storage unit and have my own renters insurance policy. Midgard is charging for their insurance and wont remove the fee. Their rationale is because the policy expired on 9/3 and it was renewed. There was no lapse in coverage but they claim it was. Sent them copy of my Declaration Page and still wont remove it . Reliant Management owns Midgard and they wont answer their phone or respond to my email

    The Midgard Self Storage facility experienced a roof leak, due to lack of maintenance and repairs, that affected my property. The damage occurred on April 1, 2023 and the management of the facility, not the ownership, Reliant-mgmt.com, did anything to assist my wife and me. We had to hire a moving crew (Fast Affordable Moving $441.00) to move our contents to another unit to avoid further damage. In the move, we uncover major damage to a queen-sized sleeper/sofa (replacement cost $2,500), water-damaged oriental rugs (3) that need to be professionally cleaned (price TBD), and reframing of several original works of art (price TBD). The management company has told us that they will not cover any damages and will not provide access to their insurance company to file a claim. Therefore, we are asking the BBB to assist us in forcing Midgard to pay for their negligence that created this issue. Total $3,941.00.
