      Dear Dispute *********************,

      We are in receipt of the above referenced complaint that was received on May 3, 2022, and in reference to the above captioned claim, adjudicated by Broadspire.  Broadspire Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Crawford & Company, is a third party administrator assigned to act on behalf of Starr Indemnity & Liability Company, to process claims.

      In this BBB ********** Ms. *********************** expressed displeasure with the length of time it has taken to complete the processing of ***************************** claim and the lack of response from her adjuster.  We have reviewed our claim file and offer the following in response.

      On March 17,2022, notice of this loss was received at Broadspire and the processor reached out to **************** via email requesting documentation to process the claim. We received notification of documentation submitted on March 23, 2022, and the claim was assigned to a licensed adjuster. Due to an influx of claims and shortage of staff, there was a delay in processing claims. On April 25, 2022,the adjuster reviewed the claim and reached out to ************** via email requesting the following documentation:

      Completed Physician Statement confirming the onset date of illness and first date of treatement.
      Documentation confirming whether a refund/credits was issued.

      We received notification of additional documentation submitted on May 4, 2022 and the adjuster reviewed and submitted the claim to the Team Manager for review and approval. On May 6, 2022, the Team Manager reviewed and approved the claim.Check number ********** in the amount of $2,689.00 was mailed to ************** via US mail.

      We apologize for the delay in processing this claim and the inconvenience it has caused to **************.
