Date of Transaction: July 30, 2024 (contract signed). Total Paid: $25,000, with all milestone payments completed in under 30 days based on the promise that deliverables would be met. Paid $25,000 for a professional, U.S.-built platform. Delivery was incomplete, insecure, ***-noncompliant, and commercially unusable. A certified third-party audit (May 2025) proved multiple contractual, technical, and compliance failurescompany denied responsibility and refused refund. The agreement required a secure, functional, professional-grade platform with specified features, *** *********** and launch readiness. Audit findings: no working customer dashboard; payment flow coded so it could be exploited; no CAPTCHA or file validation (open to spam/malware); not mobile-friendly; no secure staging/testing; no monitoring/logging; improper SEO setup; slow load times and poor performance; widespread *** violations creating legal risk; several contracted items never built. The certified audit further concluded the work had been outsourced overseas to low-cost, underqualified developersdespite representations that it would be U.S.-built. I invested my life savings and received a product far below professional standards, riddled with compliance issues and unfit for commercial use. I provided CEO **** **** with the audit. Rather than acknowledge breaches or remediate, the company denied fault, refused a refund, and ignored the severitycausing significant financial loss, wasted marketing spend, and nearly a year of lost operations. Warning to consumers: collects payment quickly, outsources work, delivers substandard/noncompliant results, disregards proof, and refuses accountability. Requested Resolution: refund of $25,000 plus $150,000 for consequential damages from a year of lost operations and potential revenue. I am prepared to supply the BBB with the signed contract, payment records, the full certified audit, internal emails, and screenshots documenting these failures. Proof on file.

    Business Response

Applied Imagination disputes all of Clients claims in his complaint.  We completed the project per the agreed upon requirements.  Client reviewed the project, provided feedback, saw it working, and accepted it without any complaints.  He then paid for it.  Client also did not raise any issues during the warranty period.  After the warranty period expired, Client hired a third party to make modifications to the project, which caused functionality issues.  Client then approached us to restore the project to its original condition, which we did.  Client also approached us to do more work on the project, which also shows that he was satisfied with our work.  Client continues to make modifications to the project without our involvement.  The project/website remains online and is being used by the client.

Client has repeatedly threatened to post damaging information about our company if we do not pay him increasingly exorbitant amounts.  We stand behind the work that we completed which Client fully accepted and dispute all of his claims.
