On July 16 th, My 2014 VW Jetta, was towed to this facility for the replacement of a timing belt. I was notified that several other repairs were recommended,Tires and alignment the replacement of the oil dipstick,And several other recommended items I respectfully declined and stated that I only wished to have the timing belt replaced.I asked for an expected date of competition and was not given a firm date.Early in the next week, I asked about the expected completion and was seemingly stalled, (It has now come to light, that the vehicle had not moved because the key was missing)After several days I stopped into the shop and was told It is preferred that I call rather than stop into the repair facility, I stated that the vehicle has been in the same location for several days and asked for an expected completion date. I explained to the service manager that I am returning the rental car and had expected the repair completed earlier in the week.Later that day the service manager (not the owner) called and finally admitted that the vehicles key had been misplaced so a new key and ignition needed to be ordered. The key replacement would be of no cost to me, and since I had been inconvenienced I would be discounted an extra $100.00 for my rental car expenditure. ( I was not)The next week, I was informed that the vehicle repair was completed,I arrived to pick up the vehicle Upon receipt of the car, I noticed several things immediately,? The car battery was dead and vehicle needed to be jump started ? Upon opening the hood to jump the battery, I noticed that the oil dipstick was broken. When the vehicle was delivered this was not the case, It was recommended to be replaced, however It was not broken.? Upon driving the vehicle I noticed the dash alerted me to the fact that the new key was not programmed properly, the dash constantly flashes this alert,? The vehicle has no working windshield wipersdue to the key not being properly programmed.
