    I found on ******** marketplace a new AC units installed $2000, ******, **, that proved deceptive. I communicated with **** ********* who owns the profile with high rating that I need a new residential heat pump system, his invoice reads K&B mechanical llc, **********************************. He sent his offer with 10 year manufacturers parts warranty and 10 year labor warranty. He came alone on April 21 around 5:00 pm with a 2 1/2 ton ******* compressor and air handler as agreed but I had to help him move the air handler, he left at almost 1:00am, I paid $5300 as agreed through ****. I registered the equipment through the manufacturer webpage site 10 days later for the 10 year warranty. Mr ********* never sent the 10 year labor warranty. On May 24, the copper pipe connecting the external unit had a hissing sound so I discovered a refrigerant leak in the pipe welded by Mr ********* at his welding spot. I switched off the system and sent pictures to Mr ********* for the leaking pipe. He asked for money to fix his faulty installation, I had to pay as other local companies didnt want to work on a system under a warranty. I communicated with him over a week to convince him to come he asked for $500 and told me that I do not have to be there if I put the system thermostat on and unplug the external switch for the compressor on the wall. he came on May 31, 2025, I was not there, he re-welded the pipe and recharged the R32 refrigerant and confirmed the repair is done and system is working. He sent an invoice, I transferred the $500 through **** on May 02, 2025. On May 4, the thermostat read 81 while set to 73, so I sent the picture to him, on May 5, the thermostat reading was 83, the compressor would work and stop ubruptly so he told me I will be coming out on Monday May 9, 2025. He didnt come or respond to calls or text to ******** or his phone number **************. External unit works for few minutes then shuts down, starts, shuts down, I put it off

    To whom it may concern.  K & B Mechanical of ***************************** received a BBB complaint dated 6/10/25.  This in fact is not related to our company or customer.  The complaint lists K & B  Mechanical LLC of **********************************  It also lists the owner / installer as **** *********, again not related to our Michigan based business.  Can you please review this complaint and make the necessary changes.  We would appreciate correspondence which confirms this has been resolved.  Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
