I filed an insurance claim, and i got told by my insurance that if i could find a shop to do the repairs at $3000 (half of value) or less then can i keep my car. They said yes. So i found a shop. Told them i already talked to my insurance they'll send the check with a quote for that or less. The shop then quoted $1200(less than half of that number and less than even my parts cart quoted.) and fixed my car for half the price i told him to fix it for. So i waited for 3ish months and called the shop to check on my car and they kept giving exuses how he couldnt find the parts but i already told him i have all the parts list quoted. He then made me get my own parts because he couldnt find them. He left bolts loose and reused broken parts and gave it back to me half fixed. I then go to him about warranty and hes telling me to find out whats whats wrong with it. When i told him whats wrong with it and what he did wrong he then said well i cant work on it if i dont know whats wrong with it. But hes the shop he should know and understand whats wrong with it especially after i told him.

CUSTOMER WAS COMPLETLY AWARE OF THE SITUATION THROUGHOUT THE REPAIRS, THE SUSPENSION PARTS HE NEEDED FOR HIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED THROUGH ************** AND THERE ISNT A SINGLE SUPPLIER THAT OFFERED THOSE PARTS. HE SUGGESTED THE HE BELONGED TO A SPECIAL ************** OF SOME SORT THAT DELT WITH HIS TYPE OF VEHICLE (2009 ***** COBALT SS). HE SAID HE WOULD GET THE PARTS IF I INSTALLED THEM. HE BOUGHT USED PARTS FOR THE VEHICLE ONLINE AND WAS TOLD THAT I CANT WARRANTY USED PARTS FROM HIS SOURCE. AFTER WE INSTALLED "HIS" PARTS, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN THE ALIGNMENT SHOP (THAT HE USED TO WORK AT PER HIS REQUEST). THE VEHICLE ALIGNMENT WENT ACCORDING TO PLAN AND THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY ISSUES PERFORMING IT. SO...."IF " THERE WAS COMPONENTS LEFT LOOSE OR WE "REUSED BROKEN PARTS",  AS HE HAS STATED, THEN THE ALIGNMENT WOULD NOT HAVE BE ABLE TO BE COMPLETED THERFORE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED TO HIM, IT WAS CORRECT.

HIS REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED ABOUT 4-5 MONTHS AGO!!

I am rejecting this response because: tye point is i tried to give you $3000 dollars and suggestions to make the fix quicker and easier and YOU AS A BUSINESS didnt take advantage of that. You reused my old wheel bearing as well as didnt even bother replacing the steering rack. You used me to diagnose my own vehicle and still half assed the repairs. I was aware of what was discontinued and i made you aware that i was aware but i also informed you that i could get the parts that were discontinued. If you felt uncomfortable in the agreement you AS THE BUSINESS had every right to deny the work and didnt. I even told the insurance company prior to finding you that my parts cart was roughlly 1500. You somehow quoted less than that.  I also told you to ask me if you needed help finding the parts and you sat on my car for 2 months looking for parts when i called and asked what was taking so long you gave the excuse that you couldnt find the parts when i told you to call me if you were having trouble finding the parts. I got the part the next day and it still took you a week to install it.  You install it and i immediately HAVE to take it to get the alignment because you didnt get it alligned and you didn't even bother telling me you had an alignment guy

As stated, YOU DIAGNOSED YOUR OWN VEHICLE and had asked me to replace the components that YOU saw fit. YOU provided USED parts the YOU found from a ******** group!!! YOU did not diagnose the steering rack or even mention it until this complaint, I ONLY charged you labor for what we did to your "car" because the "car" was not mobile at the time it was towed in. This is a body shop, NOT AN ALIGNMENT SPECIFIC SHOP and you were made very aware of that from the begining and that also, I as any other shop ANYWHERE, would not warranty ANY PARTS YOU PROVIDED, ESPECIALLY waitng 6 months later. REFUND REQUEST DENIED, work was performed!!!!!!!

I am rejecting this response because:

. I did not diagnose my own vehicle i simply told you about the accident and what i THOUGHT was wrong, and tried to give you $3000 to do with. I am not allowed to diagnose my own vehicle for you. YOU ARE THE SHOP. YOU ARE THE CERTIFIED MECHANIC. If I was the certified mechanic, i would have been able to take the insurance money myself but, You did it it in less than half of what i offered and you didnt even do it correctly  It shouldnt have even been my responisbility to take it to the allignment shop. I invested my own knowledge and my own time to ensure we both got what we needed and you screwed me over by less then half assing your part. So i chance my mind about needing you to fix it. I want compensation. A refund and the value of the 6 tires that your negligence has caused me to run through.

    Sincerely,
