He is all talk, and does mediocre work, if he shows up. He lies and ghosted me on my project. Would not recommend.

Aly was super friendly right off the bat. I needed five sheets of drywall hung, taped, and floated. He gave me a quote over the phone, which I thought was awesome, and said he'd check in the following Monday because I was having electrical work done and needed the drywall after the electrical work. It was all negative from there.

We agreed that he'd come on Wednesday morning between 9-10. I called him at 11 and he said "oh is today Wednesday?". Finally showed up at 2:30, after requesting more than half the cost as a deposit "to pay for materials". Pretty sure he bought new tools for something he supposedly does for a living, because they'd never been used. Anyway, shows up at 2:30, hangs four of the five panels, and leaves around 4. Mind you - this is a very straightforward job: just one wall with two outlets and a panel.

He promises to come back the next day - which he does. But his initial taping and floating job is weak. I can still see the tape and the mesh texture. There are still tons of grooves and divots and it is definitely not level 3, let alone 4. He said he'd be back on Fri afternoon to finish, but not before pressuring me into paying him the remainder of the price "for gas". I asked him if I could split the remainder in half, and pay the final when he's actually done. But he went and requested the full remainder on ***** regardless.

And that's when he stopped showing up. I had been speaking/texting directly to him. Then suddenly he has his office assistant call me instead. "He's on his way" turned into "they can't make it today, can they come tomorrow?" And that happened four times. Today he "guaranteed he'd be here by 1" and I called him at 1:15 for him to tell me he's Downtown and headed my way now. Lo and behold, he hasn't shown up, and now calls go straight to voicemail.

Basically, he's not reliable. He's inconsistent. He may be cost effective, but his work isn't great either. Most importantly - he lies. Couldn't even be honest about not coming back. I have a few more projects in the next few months - and a few friends who were looking for a referral - but Aly will not be getting my business again.
