    I purchase KANE carpet from "The Red Carpet & Flooring, LLC" in Baltimore, MD on June 13, 2022. The carpet was installed in my primary bedroom on July 12, 2022. Within a day, I realized that the carpet was defective. As it was walked on, the color changed from the dark blue to almost white. We contacted the store where it was purchased and we tried to talk to a representative from KANE Carpets. Every time I called KANE Carpets they refused to hear my complaint and then they would simply hang up the phone. I asked "The Red Carpet & Flooring, LLC" to contact KANE and have their local representative come over and take a look at the problem. KANE refused. They do not stand behind their product and have no customer support. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend purchasing their products.

    I was excited about Kane carpet products because of the wide range of colors and styles; however, the primary reason was that I could have it custom cut. My family room is sized such that standard area rugs are not optimal. I selected Kane Modish Aterya Collection, Sandy Beach. I chose to have the retailer cut the rug to size. What I did not realize (nor did the retailer) was that this rug has a directional sheen. The rug was cut so that a white/silver sheen (no pattern, no color) was all that was visible from the primary direction that the rug is viewed. I contacted the retailer and Kane customer service, both recommended to turn the rug. The rotation did make a difference. What makes it an 80% solution and not 100% is that we had the store cut the rug to specific dimensions. Although the difference is only 4 inches, it defeats the purpose of a custom cut rug. I know that Kane offers to cut carpets to specification and perhaps had I used their service, a question might have been asked about orientation so that the rug would be cut to minimize the sheen. Other lessons I learned through this process - I would buy a Kane product again (although I would be more careful). Kane customer service and their willingness to stand behind their products was exemplary. Kane customer service was with me from the moment I expressed concerns until a satisfactory resolution was found. I’ve simplified the road to resolution in this review. What I don’t want to do, is simplify the critical role that Kane customer service played in reaching that resolution. Thank you, Kane Customer Service! The retailer was no help.
