I hired Best at Moving to move me from a residence in ******** ******* ** * ******* ******** ** ************ ***** ******** ** *** *** 2023. I rented a ****** truck and they agreed to drive the truck from ******* ** *********** after loading my furniture and other items. They drove ahead of me, while I stayed behind to clean up, and when I arrived in *********** 3 hours later, they had not finished unloading the truck. I proceeded to assist them. The truck should have been unloaded in that amount of time. I then left to get cash to pay them for their services and when I returned, they had finished the move and they were taking the truck back to ******. However, before leaving to get their payment, I noticed while they were putting the items in my storage unit, there were several items that were damaged or broken and I mentioned that to them at the time and deducted $100 for repair replacement of those items. Several months later I went to my storage unit to remove some items that I needed and discovered other pieces of broken furniture such as a large dining room table leg that they failed to mention when they unloaded the truck. I then hired movers in December to remove the items from my storage unit and put in my new home. At that time, the new movers noticed even more damaged furniture that was previously hidden by boxes and other items. I began taking photos of the damaged goods. I monitor this entire move. When I began unpacking the boxes at my new home, I realized there was broken china, broken vases, crockpot, ceramic liners, and other broken collectibles and furniture such as a curio cabinet and dining room chairs. I photographed all of the broken items and attempted to contact the movers and they blocked me on their cell phone. These damages amount to thousands of dollars worth of repairs and irreplaceable family heirlooms. I am seeking payment for these damages.
