    On or about October 1st I called Extreme Steaming to see if they could clean our rugs that were saturated with water from hurricane **** I had already dried them out. He told me over the phone that he would do it if they didn't smell too bad. On October 3rd the business owner ***** came by and did his smell test and decided to clean them and picked up 3 rugs and 3 runners for cleaning. He collected a check for $200 for the job. He said he could have them back on the 6th. He returned them on the 14th. He said the delay was because he had other jobs tearing out drywall damaged by ***. When he returned them, they were damp and had a foul odor. I laid them out in the sun to dry. It took two days. After drying the small rugs still had a little bit of an odor but the 9x12 rug smelled really bad. I texted ***** and asked him to come back and get the 9x12 and redo it. He said he would come and clean it at our place. I warned him on the 18th that we had to vacate the house on the 21st due to water damage from ***. He never showed up, so I gave him our temporary new address in ********. I didn't hear from him. So, I went out and rented a rug shampoo machine from Lowes and spent 8 hours cleaning them myself. It took two cleanings. On Oct 26th I texted ***** once more and explained to him that I had cleaned them myself because he didn't come by. I asked him to refund my $200 and he refused, saying he cleaned them twice because they were nasty. I reminded him that he told me he wouldn't take them if they smelled too bad and he did do the smell test when he picked them up. So, they must not have been too nasty.

    He had 6 area rugs that were water damaged but were were not informed they were water damage and were told it was heavy pet odor. We do not usually do water damage rugs but made an exception this once to help him out. We returned his rugs to him after cleaning them twice.

We do not usually do water damage rugs but made an exception this once to help him out after learning it was. We returned his rugs to him after cleaning them twice. It is not our fault he left the rugs outside for 2 additional days after we dropped them off and in ******* with the humidity prevented them from getting dry.
