    In late April of 2022 I contracted with Glenn Zimmerman to re-finish 2 front doors at my primary residence in ******************. The price we agreed on was $5,900.00. Since Ive dealt with Glenn in the past I felt comfortable with having him do the job once again. Glenn and helper arrived on Tuesday May 3, 2022 to start the work and completed the job later that week. I paid him $2,000.00 on May 4 and the balance of $3,900.00 on May 6. On May 12, 2022 I sent Glenn a text .*********************:Hi Glenn, the caulk finally did turn clear and looks fine. However when I looked at it today I noticed these two spots on the upstairs door. Not sure what is happening underneath . ??Zimmerman Glenn:I will get by and take a look at them very busy this week but I will be in touch, we can get those touched up On May 26, 2022 we had the following text exchange.. *********************:Good morning Glenn, just wanted to give you a heads up............I'm getting a "clouding" effect on the outside edge of the doors. I'd send a photo but it doesn't come through very well. Let me know when you're able to come out. Thanks! Zimmerman Glenn:We will get a look at it, I have been so busy, but I haven't forgotten about you, have those spots gotten any worse *********************:the spots seem to be the same but the "clouding" starts at the outside edge and moving in. Thanks From May 26, 2022 until now, *** received nothing but excuses as to why he cant come out and fix these deficiencies , from too busy, weather isnt cooperating, etc. Its been almost a year now and for the past few months he doesnt return texts or phone calls. I thought Id pursue this route first to see if BBB has any success in rectifying the situation otherwise Ill have to file a lawsuit.

    Unfortunately I never received a formal written contract from Zimmerman. As I mentioned in my initial description, I have dealt with Zimmerman before and when I knew my doors needed re-finishing I simply asked him what the cost would be to have the doors re-finished. We agreed over text messages as to what would be done and the price. Text exchange is below:

    All product is in stock, and they do strongly recommend doing that downstairs door for a maintenance coat ,will definitely add to its life

    so as a re-cap..

    1. Upstairs door unit/sidelights etc. stripped and sanded down to bare wood and re-finished. 
    2. Downstairs door unit/sidelights etc. just gets an additional coat of new finish? Does it need to be stripped and sanded? 
    3. Doors will be done in place?

    Estimated cost?

    Have I missed anything?

    1. Upstairs door door and all get stripped sanded stained as close as possible and finished with at least 3 Coats of the  exterior finish.
      2. downstairs doors will be taped up sand down and 2 Coats of  new exterior finish. no stripping needed..

    All work done on premises, time frame of 5 to 8 days
    .. Upstairs door for stripping and refinishing If all goes as expected we'll be under 5 grand..
     Downstairs door for masking up sand down and 2 Coats of finish will be $1200.00
