    B.M.C Home Services,. installed acrylic windows in were i had screen porch. i did not know what acrylic windows were i didn't realize they are just plastic or like or plexiglass. I am 74 not real knowledgeable about windows. I though he would get any permits and use the legal materials, and finish the job. He worked not much longer then 1 hour and billed me $2,200.00 for the windows that he fit into the existing aluminum screen frame. After 2 years of the coven 19 virus and renting my apartment out for 4-5 months at a time. I could finally afford to move in and stay. I have recently found a leak. I called B.M.C. he said he can redo the hole thing for $4,428.00. I called The Handy Woman ************ to look at it. She said it has never been finished. They sealed and installed trim on the top two windows and did nothing to seal or trim the bottom two. Plus she thinks the glass is not legal. When she called *********************** to ask if he was going to finish them he started yelling so she hung up. She said a man that protest to much must be guilty of something.

    As you can see the customer asked me to do a job which included acrylic windows so she would not have to pull a permit.  She wanted a cheap option at the time that would block out most of the weather.  As you can see, I have a signed contract that is 4 1/2 years old for acrylic windows that is signed by her.  I went out for a day, not an hour, installed the acrylic windows (not glass) inside mounts so there was no trim needed.    My warranty states, as all contractors, a 1-year warranty plus the manufacturers' warranty.  These windows are out of warranty also.  This is a general maintenance issue that needs to be done by the homeowner as needed.  I gave her a new price for glass windows which will require a permit along with an estimate for re-caulking/re-sealing the existing windows.  She doesn't like either of those, so she is reporting me.  She's from South America, there may have been a communication breakdown, where we tried our best to explain everything and write everything out the best we could for her so she could research the product herself.  There have not been any issues for the last 4 years up until now.   

    As for the lady who hung up on me, I asked her for her license number and she said, " that wasn't important".   If you're operating a handyman business, you should have a license.

    All these pictures are the outside views.  She wanted to leave the existing framing and do the cheapest option, so that's why I did inside mounts.  You don't see that unless you remove the screens.

    Hello.  What BMC home services said it is not true, he took advantage of my low knowlage about the materials and procedures of installation,  he came alone and did not expend more than two hours installing the window, always from inside never went outside to check.  I got to more windows companies to doble check and they were agree it was a poor and unprofessional work, even the last one said the low part of the window was in installed in backwards. When I called him to check the problem he told me " I do not why I put acrylic if I do not work with that material"  he told me he will come to fix it, never happened next thing was the new estimated for a new window.   I just feel like I was cheated but, anyway if you can do something it will be excelent.  Thanks in Advance   ***********************
