On December 10, 2022, ***** agreed to repair my driveway, install a french drain, and seal the pavers for $5,000. He took a deposit of $3,000 and said the work would start December 17 and take two days. No one showed up on December 17. I contacted him and he said he would put me on the calendar for January 17. No one showed up on January 17. He said he would knock $500 off the cost and someone would be there on February 2. I contacted him on January 30 to verify someone would be there on February 2. An hour later I received a call from "Junior" who told me that ***** wasn't paying his bills and that I would have to make a contract with him. I told junior that I had already paid ***** $3,000 and wanted the work to start. That was the end of the phone call. Soon after that ***** called me and said there was a misunderstanding and I only had to pay Junior the $1,500. I said that was ok. Then I found an article in the *************** indicating that ***** has been doing this since 2009. I found current reviews that said he was a thief and a scammer. I then filed a dispute with my bank regarding the charge and told ***** that I had lost confidence in him and requested he refund my $3,000. I haven't heard back since. This is all documented in texts.
