      On Oct. 21, 2023 I purchased a 2020 Acura TLX from Crown Nissan, I was told I had 5 days or 500 miles to change my mind on the purchase, so I had to be sure that day if I wanted the vehicle. ********************* was the salesman that I dealt with that day. The day I test drove the vehicle and after test driving I was checking the vehicle out and noticed damage to the area (grill) around the emblem on the front of the car and was assured by **** that would be taken care of. On or about Oct. 23, **** texted me and told me and told me they were ordering the supplies for the grill on the car to be fixed. That is the only thing that was ever said about the grill and still to this day I have heard nothing. I was given 5 days to decide if I wanted to keep the car and I think 30 days has been ample enough time to fulfill a promise made in a contract to sale a car.

      Took my vehicle in for a recall. I have a regular and trusted mechanic who actually had JUST had the car in that week for regular maintenance. I was having NO ISSUES OR TROUBLES WITH THE CAR AT ALL...as I have it serviced REGULARLY. I simply came to the dealership so they could address the recall issue. They do a "complimentary" inspection...I go to pick-up my vehicle and they give me a quote for over $1,000 of work they say the car needs. LIES. It is evident they don't know the history of my vehicle and they assumed I was an some kind of idiot and I'd go...."oh wow, ok...here is $1,000...sure, of course." My father is also a mechanic who had just been in the car with me the day before...and seemed very surprised by Crown Nissan's claims. Alarmed I took my vehicle immediately back to my trusted service repair shop, with the information Crown Nissan had given me. Firstly, since I had JUST had the car in, they were very surprised they would have missed such a repair need, as was I. They investigated and low and behold, NO EVIDENCE of such needed repairs. BEWARE! GET A 2ND OPINION...THIS PLACE IS SCAMMING PEOPLE.

      After reviewing this claim with our staff and the Nissan Certified technician that worked on this vehicle, it was noted upon driving the vehicle that the front breaks were grabbing. Upon further inspection, the front break calipers were showing excessive rust and it was recommended that they be replaced. Also during the Multi-Point Inspection it was noted that the rear shocks were seeping and it was also recommended for replacement as the vehicle has over 75,000 miles. Also it was noted that the key fob battery was low and needed replacement. The repairs were quoted with aftermarket parts in order to reduce the cost to the customer. As a Certified Nissan repair facility, it is always important that we thoroughly inspect and recommend any further repairs that warranted. These recommendations were given to this customer and they declined the work which is their prerogative. We are confident in our technicians findings and consider this matter closed.

      I viewed the the shocks with my own eyes...NO LEEKING OR MOISTURE WHATSOEVER. Also, as somebody who drives the car daily...there is no "BREAK GRABBING." Our mechanic, whom we trust and is well trusted here in the community looked at this same vehicle the weekend prior...detecting none of these issues and then we returned the vehicle to them 2 days after our visit to this dealership and no issues. The break pads will be due soon, but are still a safe thickness. Again, a warning to anybody going into this dealership...get a 2nd opinion. Dealerships have a reputation of doing work that is not necessary and simply making recommendations based on how many miles the car is at rather than actually what the car needs. I am sure the dealership is very confident that their technicians bring in a lot of work that pays the bills there. If you do your research...dealerships make a large amount of money off of the service end of their business...it's not just the car sales that do this.

      As a Certified Nissan Service Facility, we perform a Multi Point Inspection on every vehicle in our shop and recommend repairs and maintenance accordingly. When recommending these repairs, it's always the customer's decision to do the repairs, decline the repairs or take it to another facility.
