    On September 8, 2024, I was planning a trip to ******* and booked a hotel with free cancellation (Looe Key Reef Resort). The hotel charged my credit card in advance for the full night $204.36 USD. On January 28, 2024, I cancelled the hotel room because I decided to stay on Marathon Key instead due to the Fishing Guide that I had booked in Cudjoe Key not responding to my requests for information. Since January 28th, 2024, I have called the hotel multiple times to enquire where my refund is and am consistently informed by front desk staff that they will follow up with the manager of the hotel. I have not yet received a refund from the hotel despite calling multiple times.

    The refund was processed on 3/20/2025 for the amount of the original charge.  Please see the attached folio, reflecting the charge of $204.36, not the amount the guest reflects on their statement.  Additional funding may have gone to Expedia.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I received the refund amount back on my credit card this morning, March 25, 2025. After waiting since January 28, 2025, for a refund and following up multiple times with the business, I do think that the only reason they finally agreed to process the refund is because I complained to BBB, so thank you for helping my case.
