From the start, ***** acted like a friendfriendly, helpful, and full of promises. He told us exactly what we wanted to hear: that the truck had been inspected, was in great condition, and that if anything went wrong, they would take care of us. He reassured us over and over that wed be supported as a small carrier. That false sense of security is what closed the deal. But heres the truth: he knew wed never come back. Because the truck he sold us was damaged, unreliable, and far from what was advertised. The minute we drove off the lot, all that support and friendship vanished. They got their moneyand we got stuck with a nightmare. We drove less than 300 miles before the radiator failed completely. Yes, one week in, and we were already sinking money into repairs. Then, just five weeks later, the head gasket had to be replacedanother major and costly repair that left us sidelined again. Not once did *** or ***** offer to help or even express concern. We gave them multiple chances to do the right thingthey did ********** became painfully clear: this company is built on deception. They sell you a story, not a working truck. They make you believe they care, but they dont. Once the sale is done, youre on your own, no matter what they told you.***** ****** is not your friend. He is a salesperson whos mastered the art of manipulation, pretending to be helpful while knowing full well that the trucks they sell are flawed and youre going to get stuck with the repair bills. If youre considering LRM Leasing, do yourselfand your businessa favor: walk away. What they sell are broken promises, broken equipment, and broken trust. This was one of the worst business decisions weve ever made. Dont let it happen to you.Business Response

They sold me a 2019 freightliner Cascadia the truck broke down less than 30 days. We had it diagnosted and it showed that the truck had the same issue two times prior, so they sold us a truck that they already knew had a fuel pump and metal shavings in the gas line and in the tank the diagnostics showed that it had already had this issue twice before they sold the truck to me LRM told me not to take the truck to the freightliner dealer. They charged me almost $10,000 just for a down payment, which was about four months payments which they had lied to us from the beginning we were only supposed to pay one month deposit, first 90 days no payments. The excuse forthe extra payment was because our son ****** ** had referred us to LRM and bought a truck from them his self hopefully we can discuss more details that in person. They forced us to get true north insurance and pay higher insurance when we already had been with a company for 10 years paying less There is so much thats not enough space to write, but this has put a very big strain on my marriage. I ended up going ************** while waiting on them to come tow the truck to their location. I am out of my truck which is my livelihood $10,000 I have not worked since the truck went down. Its now been almost 2 months. Ive been a truck driver for 15 years these people robbed me. Im hoping I can speak with someone to give more details. I do have receipts for everything that Im saying and theres a lot morethat were not able to put in this *********************************************************** They offered no help. They actually tried to tell me I have to pay forthe truck to be repaired. Please help me.! at least please help me to get my money back!Business Response

Correspondence from the business LRM LEASING is not clear there is nothing showing their response although it says they responded. The vehicle was picked up and balance paid on March 5, 2025. We had to put in a New thermostat within the first week of having to truck, on April 3 2025 is when the truck broke down on the highway and we had to get it to somewhere where they diagnose the truck put it on there cold in the fall codes came up showing that the truck had prior fuel rail pressure too low history showing on the truck already as well as low pressure circuit history on truck before they sold the truck to me I submitted those pictures of that reading to LRM leasing, and in my documentation
There is a recording of *** advising me not to take the truck to the Freightliner dealer
Again, I cannot see the response from LRM leasing in this correspondence.

I am rejecting this response because: during the inspection and picking up the vehicle, we were directed by the man of LRM to that particular truck and was told it was a good one a truck. We just gave it a oil change in his words where do you want a good looking truck or do you want a truck thats going to run good!yes, the paperwork was signed for the obvious things to the I pay attention to the list do they ask about checking the fuel tanks? No, they dont.

LRM Truck Leasing has already submitted a comprehensive response to this complaint, including a full explanation of the situation, the applicable contract terms, documentation provided to the customer, and steps we offered in good faith to resolve the matter.
The consumers latest message does not introduce any new factual disputes or issues relevant to the BBB's mediation process. Rather, it indicates their intent to pursue the matter through legal channels. While we firmly disagree with the consumers assertion that LRM is in breach of contract, we respect their right to seek legal recourse if they believe it is necessary. That said, we believe this matter is no longer appropriate for resolution through a BBB complaint, as the consumer is not seeking further mediation or clarification, but has chosen to escalate the matter to litigation.
We remain confident that our position is fully supported by the terms of the agreement, and we will continue to act in accordance with our contractual obligations and in a professional manner. Furthermore, if he would like to adhere to substitution of collateral arrangement offered to him we would do so regardless of his threat for litigation.
Respectfully,

I was required to place a deposit in the amount of ******* to place this semi truck on hold to purchase in which days later I traveled to pick it up I was informed I needed to have insure via True North and a cashiers check in the amount of ******* everything went smoothly til I provided the company of my choice the titles and paperwork that was given to me and I was later told that this truck had duplicate paperwork and titles I was advised that they would rectify the situation and now its been over a week and LRM LEASING does not have the paperwork in order or have titles to the truck. I have been getting the the run around at this point they have been making promises via phone and not coming through with the things I need to use this truck for work.Customer Answer

Dont buy a truck from them they will leave you out to dry. I fill out an applications they told me I was approved and when I get there the truck was ready. I drive 298 miles and the clutch stop working. I called them multiple times thinking because I had the truck for only *********************************** a tow truck. Long story short I had to pay 3150 to get the truck towed back to their facility. Slept out front in the truck till the next morning thinking they will switch trucks like it say in the contract and they came out saying I owed them a bill from 2019 after I paid my money in they approved me and spent 3150 on top of 5300 Im assuming they took my money which is illegal what their doingInitial Complaint

LRM approved me for a truck. I put 5300 down payment. Once I put the funds down they told me to come pick the truck up, I take a flight from ***** to **, once I get there they handed me the keys and I take off with the truck. I drive 298 miles and the clutch stop working. I had to pull over on the shoulder of the highway which put my life at risk because the shoulder was only but so big to hold a tractor. I called LRM thinking because I only had the truck for less the 24 hours they would send someone to help me get the truck back to their facility, but LRM constantly ignored my phone calls so I had to pay a tow truck company ******* to tow my truck back to their shop. Because I got back so late they were close so I had to stay overnight in front of their facility thinking when the morning came they would swap trucks by honoring the 72 hour rule in their contract. Long story short! they said I owed a bill from 2019 but dont remember how much I owed. How could you approve me if I owed a bill but dont remember what the bill was. So because of that pass due bill I had to catch a flight back to ************ wondering now are these guys going to refund me my money that I work so hard for to save and buy a truck. These guys are crooks!!!Business Response

I made a request to LRM for the title of a semi that I leased from them on 06/28/24 they started by sending me a title application which the state says that a title application is only valid for ******************************************************************************************* January I rely this to them that same day and they told me thats all can offer me, until 07/03/24 they then said they will make a request for the title after I spoke to them that morning I struggled to get a response from them all day until a lady named ******* text me sayin Ill let know when we have it. It is now 07/05/24 and I havent heard back from any one I called the bank that they use that has a lien on the semi and was told they cant give me the title but if lrm calls them to request it they will send it over with in 10 mins I told them this on 07/03/24. ******* nor **** which are the main people I had most of the conversation with seem to really not care to even let me know how long it could take didnt seem to care about having this prevent me from work. I really dont understand why a 10 min request is turning into now weeks of waiting. This can cost me my livelihood I am a truck driver and cant drive a truck without my truck being registered this wait alone has lost me 10k to 13k in potential income. I attached a text conversation between ******* and myself.Initial Complaint

I leased a truck from Lrm around the June 29th and paid down approximately $14000 by the time I got the truck registered around July 21st and started driving by 25th just 4 days on the road the check engine light comes I have to change the def pump they didnt charge me for the labor but they charged me for the pump and I ended up spending around $900 now around November 1st Im having issues with the air pressure not building up and the coolant reservoir leaking the trucking overheating all within a couple of months now today which is the 28th of November it seems as if the engine is blown because its knocking very loud and all they can do is recommend a shop for me to bring it to which is 3 to 4 hours away from me after throughly reading this contract I see it is in no way in my favor but when you put that amount of money down on a product you are not expecting for it to be defective this soon within four months so I feel like theyre violating the lemon law because I have a friend who got a truck from them months ago and the transmission went out in three monthsBusiness Response

We are surprised to see a complaint filed, especially with how we have handled your account with professionalism and by going above and beyond. All our vehicles meet federally regulated *** standards before they are leased which you acknowledged before taking possession. You are the ultimate party responsible for maintenance and repairs. A semi truck requires constant maintenance and upkeep. When you first reported a potential issue with your DEF pump, the company offered you free as a gesture of good faith not as an obligation. You stated that youve had this issue with the air pressure and coolant reservoir around November 1st, yet you did not reach out to us until the 28th of November. The company suggested two of our closest locations in your area to take it for diagnostics and you proceeded to tell us that you dont have the money to get it towed to either location. On the 30th of November on a phone call with management you admitted to running the truck without coolant which caused the truck to severely overheat. You then told management you only decided to address the issue once the knocking started. Coolant leaks can be regular with semi trucks, ignoring them is what causes serious damage. Due to your lack of response to required maintenance, it appears that there is serious engine damage caused by this overheating. This type of repair could be more than $40,000 and could have easily been avoided.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I never said I ran the engine hot and as you said maintenance is my responsibility and I was in the process of getting air leak and leaking coolant tank fixed the truck never ran out of coolant I stated that the temperature fluctuated but never overheated and whoever I spoke to created that narrative of me running the engine hot to further yourself from the responsibility of leasing faulty trucks and yes I did refuse to send the truck to a shop that you recommended because I knew the engine was bad and didnt want to waste money getting it towed to a shop and when I first talked to your associate the first thing that he said was did I want to turn in the truck because its a walk away lease and I just feel like this is your guys business practice is to take customers down payment sell them faulty trucks with knowledge that it will break down soon and the way the trucking industry is now theres no way they can afford to fix it with 3 to 4 months if it breaks down and its something major ask my friend ************************* who just got a truck from you guys and the transmission went out in 3 months and yall did the same thing to him
Sincerely,
