On May 10th, I went to the Tallahassee location of Fl therapy services. I had requested an appointment months ago via their online portal to receive an Adhd test. My psychiatrist works out of a different facility. She can prescribe for it but cannot test for it. I waited several months and finally on May 8th, someone called me to schedule. She said the provider that takes my insurance is in on the 10th and I can see them then. I say great. I go in on Wednesday the 10th. I pay $90. Velma takes me back. I tell her that the reason I am here is because my psychiatrist wants me to get tested for ADHD. I explain that she can prescribe but cannot test for it. She needs the diagnosis. Velma says okay so you need an IEP test. I said okay. We go the entire hour intake with me telling her “these are my adhd symptoms. That is why I am here.” At the end she said okay we need to get you scheduled for the test. I said okay, it was actually my understanding that I was getting the test done today. Is that not correct? She said no, she had to get me booked for it after this initial intake. I said okay. So she walks me to scheduling to get it booked and she says “she needs an iep test” and then walked away. The scheduler asked me why the iep. I told her i needed to get tested / diagnosed with Adhd so my psychiatrist can prescribe medication. She told me they don’t do Adhd testing. She walked me back to velma and velma said i thought the iep was for adhd? And the scheduler said no. We can only prescribe not diagnose. I said that is the same as my psychiatrist. I told velma the whole time i was here for adhd testing & that I paid $90. Velma apologized to me and said “i am so sorry i thought we did adhd testing here.” I asked if i could be refunded and the scheduler said no. I called corporate. The president called me back on May 11 & left a message. I called her back on May 12th. I have not heard back.
