I'm truly saddened about my experience at the Lake Buena Vista Rosen Inn. I stayed there for a weekend in Orlando alone. I was in town for a wedding. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical from the price point being so low with me booking late, but decided to take a chance. On my first night there, a security officer attempted to enter my room without consent or knowledge from the property a little after 1AM. If I had not have had the deadbolt on, they would've entered my room while I was in the bathtub, naked and vulnerable. A woman's worst fear is being violated, especially miles away from home at a strange place they've never stayed at. Instead of apologizing, the security officer called my room phone and went off on me. Apparently they weren't aware someone was in the room and needed to sell it--at 1AM. I checked in, got my key, and the front desk was well aware the room was occupied. I even paid in advance. It rattled me and triggered trauma from not knowing the intentions of a man entering my room so suspiciously and late in the night. I told the front desk, and the attending managers that weekend were very compassionate. However, ever since I've left the property I have not received an ounce of that compassion. They promised a refund, but I booked with Booking.com which complicated things. I typically book directly from the property, but when you search for Rosen, the SEO placement has them a third down the page. If you're not paying attention, the booking sites look like their official page. There's nothing wrong with booking with a third party, but I've been made to believe there's nothing that can be done about the refund I was promised due to this fact. The managers that promised to call me back with updates did not, and it seems like it's an out of sight out of mind situation. I'm writing this review because as a woman traveling alone, I would appreciate knowing if safety isn't a huge priority with a hotel. I personally did not feel safe during my stay and do
