    ***** was contracted/paid to install **** ft of ceramic tile for $9,775,00 on 3/2022 after taking measurements of dwelling. We(consumers), arranged order, purchase and delivery of tile and materials for $5,461.39. ***** contracted outside crew who demanded $400 more for the job-we were then told we would have to absorb that cost. ***** charged an additional $832.16 to "level" the floor with 64 concrete slabs. A toilet was broken-during the installation process-***** demanded we pay $241.83 - the cost of replacement. When questioned ***** stated we either pay or his worker(s) would walk off the job- we were charged $241.83. ***** was contracted & paid $5,036 to paint the inside of our home. Again outside workers were hired and came by randomly often not knowing what to do ie: a wall scheduled to be removed was painted- they walked off the job when not provided with "right color paint" or any paint at all and " as it was taken to another location for another job." End result poor workmanship, window shades & light fixtures were damaged, doors poorly painted w/a thin coat of paint & sloppy drippings. On 7/2022 we noticed cracks on tiles and unevenness throughout our home. ***** was called several times, calls went unanswered, email was sent requesting repairs and completion of unfinished work. His lovely wife ***** met us at our home, listened, documented, took pictures of our concerns and agreed to correct outstanding issues. On 8/5/2022 we hired Horizon Flooring Inspections,LLC for complete inspection, assessment and recommendations (see attachment). On 9/5/2022 copy of the report was emailed to *************************** requesting corrective action. On October 12, 2022 a cashier's check for $496.85 was received with letter stating we should hire someone to fix identified problems. We believe ******************************* behavior is fraudulent and dishonest,. He took advantage of us during a vulnerable time as we needed to move into our home. He refuses to stand by the work as agreed.
