We brought my dog to the ** a month and a half ago for a seizure. They took the dog in the back and ran labs and tests which were fine. They came back and said they recommend ************ overnight for observation which cost approx 5k. We felt that was very overpriced and asked to take the dog home with seizure meds they recommended. After waiting another 45 mins a vet tech came in saying they could do it for nearly half. This raised an eyebrow as to how they could cut a cost by 50%. Again we said no we would prefer to take our dog home with the meds recommended. The tech left and then came back and lowered the price AGAIN. Also it should be noted the techs eyes were bloodshot and he smelled of a strong odor or marijuana which also didnt make us comfortable. My wife went into premature labor and we were unable to follow up with the vet until today, we have an appointment for tomorrow. My wife called and asked for a ONE DAY refill and was told it shouldnt be an issue. The hospital called back and said the vet *************** said specifically she REFUSED To refill the one day prescription because we were disrespectful to staff. My wife told me this and I called in and their manager very extremely rude. I explained the situation and how their tech was high and they overcharged. After a few mins back and forth she hung up on me. I called back and she said we deal with emergencies and talking to me wasnt one. This hospital is awful, they overcharge off rip them lower it when questioned then become offended when you wont pay the outlandish prices. *************** made it clear the only reason for not giving a one day refill was she felt her staff was disrespected. Not because its not protocol but based on spite. Under no circumstances would I recommend bringing your animals here. The care is substandard, the staff was high, they price ***** and when questioned take it as a personal insult. Please keep your animals safe and away
