Subject business is a ficticious name used by ***** ***** dba "We Fix It All". I hired him to repair some minor drywall damage and repaint my garage for a price of $1,508.00 to be paid upon job completion. He started work on 12/18/2024. On 12/27/2024 he requested payment in full although he had not completed the job. Since it was Christmas season, I paid him $1,600 based on his promise to reurn the next day and finish the job. He has returned to job briefly but still has not satisfactorily completed the work. For example, he overlooked painting several inside corners. What's worse, because he failed to use dropcloths to protect the garage floor, he left numerous paint spills and drywall mud on the floor. In addition, he tracked paint onto my driveway paver tiles. Also, his vehicle leaked oil on several pavers. Thus, not only was his work substandard but he has caused damage to my garage floor and pavers. Mr. ***** has grown hostile and refuses to cleanup the mess he made on my job. I request that he refund $350 to me so I can hire someone else to powerwash the soiled areas. Failing that, I will file a Small Claims Court action against him.

In regards to ******* complaint I quoted this job for $1508.00 to paint the inside of his garage and patch broken texture areas on the ceiling and he also asked me to quote power wash and paint the garage floor I gave him a price of $100.00 for power wash and $300.00 for the painting  for a total of $400.00 as to the days I was working doing the painting until I finished on Friday he was very happy as he told even up till he paid me plus a extra $88.00 and wrote the check and handed it to me with a big thank you it looks good !! I told him I would be back on Sunday to clean up of which I did I cleaned up every spot by hand that asked me to on my hands and knees and touched up some caulking areas and some small areas of missed ? Paint spot all three my time working for him he said he was happy with my work when I finished on Sunday I had told on Friday I would take care of garage floor project in the next week or so I would let him know what day that in would look at my schedule.... He said no big hurry on Sunday after I left I started to receive text messages from him saying what about cleaning the garage floor ? I messaged him back that I would power wash it when I come back to paint it... Logically... that's when he texted me back.he didn't trust with no reason why .. he's has no good answer except what he makes up in his own mind ? He wants a insane amount for power washing his garage floor my price was $100.00 I went out of my way for him and even painted the 6 doors that was not included in the estimate..... As I always do for the hundreds and hundreds of my customers I have worked for I always go beyond my duty.. I have all the texts saved from him as well as the one he texted I DONT TRUST YOU ??? OR I would of came back to do the last bit of clean up. If I hadn't got that hurtful message..... SINCERLY ***** dba WE FIX IT ALL HANDYMAN SERVICE ************

I am rejecting this response because: The response contains factual errors.

Devin does not deny that he left paint spills on my garage floor and on the adjoining parking pad pavers. (See additional photos attached) His excuse is that he thought he was coming back at a later date to "pressure wash and paint my garage floor". I never hired him to do that additional work. In talking with him it became obvious that he did not understand what I wanted on the floor and he did not have the needed skills. So I did NOT ask him to come back and do the garage floor.

When he told me he would do the floor for $400 I knew he did not understand that I wanted an epoxy finish with color chips. That would normally cost about $3,000.  The materials alone would have cost over $800. It also would require floor GRINDING not just pressure washing. He obviously had no experience with that type of job so I did not hire him to do it.

I paid ***** before he finished the job because he promised to come back the next day to clean up and finish. The next day, he came back very briefly to pick up his equipment and left without saying goodbye or anything. He knew he had left an unacceptable mess and he just snuck off. Since I have poor vision I failed to notice that he had also failed to paint some inside corners.

His work was poor qualty and his request that I pay him before he had finished was dishonest, not what we had agreed.

    Sincerely,
