    I recently used Lapel for dry cleaning services and entrusted them with several garments, including a white mavericks jersey, a black shirt, and an embroidered white t shirt. After receiving the items back, I noticed significant discoloration and damage to the garments, which were not present before the cleaning. Specifically:The white jersey appears discolored, and the fabric/dyes seem to have reacted poorly to the cleaning process.The black shirt exhibits noticeable discoloration that seems to have been caused by dye transfer or contamination from the cleaning solvents.The embroidered white garment also shows discoloration that was not there prior to the cleaning.The total value of the damaged items is approximately $500. Upon reviewing the care labels:The jersey explicitly states that it is not suitable for dry cleaning, which the cleaner should have identified before proceeding.The black shirt is suitable for dry cleaning but was affected by what appears to be improper handling or dye bleeding from other garments.The embroidered garment allows for delicate dry cleaning, but the results suggest the cleaner did not follow the delicate process.When I brought this issue to the businesss attention, they attempted to repair the damages and when that wasnt successful, they claimed it wasnt their fault and the owner offered a $50 credit, which I feel is insufficient to cover the damages caused to my items. As a professional dry cleaner, they have a duty to inspect care labels and handle garments properly to avoid such damage.
