      On Monday Morning I went to Yelp to look for a carpet cleaner as we had a flood in our home and our area rug needed to be cleaned and dried. On their Projects page it send the project out to many businesses within my zip code. ***** from Miami Carpet Shampoo Express contacted me first. I was anxious to get this project started and went with this company. They said they could come at 1PM. I let *************************** into my home and he started cleaning the rug. But needed to get it outside to clean it further. My husband and I assisted him. We were very surprised that 30 minutes later he said he was done. My husband said it is still wet. ***** claimed that he extracted the water and that in 4 hours it would be dry to trust him. I said can you clean a chair I had, he quoted me and I showed him the chair in my sons room. When I went to check on him the chair was wet and dirty he said I didnt have to pay him for the chair. I than went back to the rug and asked how I was to get it in the house? He told me to hire laborers that are at ********** outside. I offered him an additional $50. if he would do it. He said no as he lived in South Beach. I than Venmo him the $100. quoted for the rug and he was on his way. I than looked for someone to help me get the rug inside my home and was fortunate that a contractor I knew that lived near by came later to assist right before it was going to rain.We laid the rug across my dining room table to dry. Unfortunately even a day later and up until now not only isnt the rug dry but it is smelling. I wrote to ***** and inquired if we was insured as it is stated on his Yelp page, also 30 years in business and Satisfaction Guaranteed but he is ignoring my texts. So I went to Florida Corporations and see his business has only been around less than a year not the 30 that was stated. I ****** searched him and found he was convicted and put in jail in Miami for Grand Theft. Channel 7 News as well as other stations covered the story
