Called shops for transmission quote. **** (owner's brother) quoted $1.4k simple/$2k heavy duty. I go to the shop, manager says quote is incorrect but they will honor the price since it came from ****. Picked up a week later 08/21/24. Never worked. Towed/moved the truck back (at my expense) 5 more times. Never ran right. Everytime I complain get told the truck needs to go back. On 09/30/24 they had me waiting in the shop (which was prearranged 3 days earlier) but ended up waiting 1/2 day just to be told 34 min after closing that they couldn't work on my truck. Had to bring it next day (2 hour drive in traffic for me). Then they played the whole "did the manager tell you or did **** talk to you?" game until this day. I've called over 50 times, I can't even get a hold of anyone or I get told to talk to the manager or **** viceversa. They have me running around in circles, getting more quotes for electrical parts as they claim they were bad but I had it checked by 3 other ************ all say that the seals must've been punctured or the transmission built incorrectly. They claim that the other people don't know what they are talking about or they have no knowledge. Going back/forth with this since the beginning. Asked for my money back, they refuse. **** said over 3 times that my truck is a nightmare/waste of his time. You don't say that to customers. I told the manager that if they don't know what they are doing with my truck to give me my money back. They tell me that if someone else touches the work I lose my warranty. They can't get it right. Broke down 6th time 10/19/24 & had to have it towed to the shop. Went on vacation, left a friend in charge of checking in. Week later no repairs made. Manager (who I texted details/pics) said he never informed **** ?? of my messages & that he heard nothing on the truck (I left the truck right on the front door). Now the say that they will fix it this time but next time they will wash their hands from it. I want my money back.Customer Answer

WE REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION ON THE BENCH(IT WAS BROUGHT TO US OUT OF THE VEHICLE) AND AFTER SHE HAD IT REINSTALLED,SHE SAID IT WASNT WORKING RIGHT.WE ASKED HER TO BRING THE ***** TO US SO WE COULD LOOK AT IT.WE THOUGHT IT COULD HAVE ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND INSTALLED NEW SENSORS IN THE *********************** WORKED FOR US SO WE HAD HER PICK IT BACK UP.SHE HAD CALLED WITH MORE CONCERNS SO WE RECOMMENDED FOR HER TO BRING IT BACK AGAIN.I THINK THIS WAS GOING TO BE ON A SATURDAY-WHEN SHE SAID SHE CALLED 3 DAYS AHEAD TO SET IT UP.SHE DID NOT SHOW UP TIL AFTER 10 AND WE CLOSE AT NOON ON SATURDAYS.ONCE AGAIN WE SUSPECTED ELECTRICAL ISSUES BUT WOULD NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME OR RESOURCES ON A SATURDAY TO DO MUCH WITH IT THAT DAY....SHE DID HAVE 2 OTHER SHOPS TO LOOK INTO THE ELECTRICAL SIDE BUT NEITHER WAS ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING.WE DID END UP PULLING THE TRANSMISSION BACK OUT AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG-MECHANICALLY.I OFFERED TO LET HER COME WITH A MECHANIC OF HER OWN IF SHE WANTED.THAT IS ALOT OF LABOR TO GO THROUGH BUT WE FELT WE HAD TO.SHE ENDED UP DRIVING IT HOME AGAIN AND CAUSED EXTREME AMOUNTS OF DAMAGE-MORE THAN IT HAD TO BEGIN WITH.I KNOW THAT AT LEAST TWICE-SHE DROVE THE ***** TO **,EVEN AFTER KNOWING SHE HAD ISSUES. PLAIN NEGLIGENCE.I UNDERSTAND SHE WAS GOING BY WHAT WAS BEING TOLD TO HER BUT WE SUSPECTED ELECTRICAL ISSUES SOON AFTER SHE RETURNED THE 1ST TIME.UNFORTUNATELY THE SHOP WE RECOMMENDED IN THE BEGINNING WAS BOOKED UP. BUT AFTER THE LAST BREAK DOWN WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT INTO THEM TO LOOK AT IT.THAT SHOP IS AUTOMOTIVE ONE.THEY WERE ABLE TO FIND THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM-IT WAS A BAD/MAIN WIRE THAT WENT TO THE ALTERNATOR. IT WOULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO BOG DOWN AND FELT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION DID NOT WANT TO WORK ************ WAS OBVIOUS THAT THIS WAS NOT A TRANSMISSION ISSUE ONCE IT ACTED UP.I HAD NEVER EXPERIENCED IT BEFORE DURING ANY OF OUR REBUILDS OR ROAD TEST.I HAD TO DRIVE IT FOR ALMOST 45 MINUTES BEFORE IT ACTED UP.THE ***** WOULD NOT WANT TO RESPOND TO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND SHE ASSUMED IT WAS TRANSMISSION RELATED.THEN SHE CONTINUED TO TRY AND FORCE IT TO GO WHICH IN TURN-DESTROYED THE TRANSMISSION THE LAST TIME.WE WENT THROUGH THIS TRANSMISSION SEVERAL TIMES NOT KNOWING THE ORIGIN OF HER PROBLEM.WE ALWAYS TRY OUR BEST BUT THIS WAS OUT OF OUR HANDS BUT WE CONTINUED TO TRY OUR BEST.EVEN WITH HER BADGERING US WITH PROFANITY AND INSULTS.EVEN AFTER FINDING THE ISSUE,SHE DID NOT GET IT FIXED CORRECTLY.AUTOMOTIVE ONE SENT ME PICTURES OF HER REPAIRS BUT IT LOOKED LIKE THE WIRE WAS STILL NOT DONE CORRECTLY/PROFESSIONALLY.AND WITH US FIXING IT AGAIN AND PROVING WE WERE RIGHT ABOUT AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE-SHE CONTINUES TO LEAVE THIS COMPAINT OPEN.I CANT EVEN TELL YOU HOW MUCH WE LOST IN TIME/LABOR/PARTS BUT WE TRIED TO DO WHATS RIGHT BUT STILL HAVE TO DEFEND OURSELVES FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT OUR FAULT.WE HAVE A PROFESSIONAL OBLIGATION TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT BUT HER NEGLIGENCE TO CONTINUE DRIVING THE ***** AND DAMAGING THE TRANSMISSION UNNECESSARILY SEVERAL TIMES-WAS REALLY UNCALLED FOR.I KNOW SHE NEEDED TO GET AROUND BUT IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM-YOU FIX IT,NOT JUST KEEP CAUSING MORE DAMAGE DRIVING IT.Initial Complaint

MR. ****** BROUGHT HIS VEHICLE INTO OUR SHOP FOR DIAGNOSTICS/EST.IT WAS DETERMINED THAT HIS TRANSMISSION HAD MECHANICAL ISSUES WITHIN 2 DAYS & WOULD REQUIRE REBUILDING/REPLACING.I INFORMED MR.****** & HE DID HAVE QUESTIONS REGARDING THE REPAIR.I TOLD HIM THE ONLY THING I KNEW WAS CERTAIN WAS THAT HIS TRANSMISSION HAD DEFINITE MECHANICAL DAMAGE.AT NO TIME DID I EVER SAY HE HAD NO ELECTRICAL DAMAGE AND THE TRANS REPAIR WOULD FIX ALL HIS ISSUES.WE DO NOT DO ANY ELECTRICAL WORK NOR DO I CLAIM WE DO.MR.****** KEEPS INSISTING I ASSURED HIM HE HAD NO ELECTRICAL FAULTS.THIS IS UNTRUE BECAUSE I KNOW I WOULD NEVER MAKE THAT ASSUMPTION,EVER-PERIOD.AFTER I INFORMED HIM THAT THE TRANS WOULD NEED TO BE REBUILT HE WANTED THE BEST POSSIBLE PRICE SO I GOT SOME ESTIMATES FROM LOCAL SALVAGE YARDS.THE PRICES I FOUND WERE TOO HIGH I FELT.SO WE ACTUALLY OFFERED TO DO THE REBUILD FOR THE SAME COST IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WITH A USED UNIT TO TRY & HELP HIM OUT.THE TRANSMISSION HAD EXTENSIVE DAMAGE INSIDE & REQUIRED ADDITIONAL PARTS THAT SHOULD HAVE INCREASED THE FINAL BILL.WE HAD THE ADDITIONAL NEEDED PARTS SO WE DID NOT ADD IT TO HIS BILL....AFTER WE COMPLETED THE REBUILD,THE CAR SEEMED TO BE OPERATING CORRECTLY SO IT WAS RELEASED.ON JUNE 1ST HE CONTACTED ME AND SAID THE CAR WAS ACTING UP SO HE WAS BRINGING IT BACK IN.THE CAR WAS HAVING A PERFORMACE ISSUE THAT I WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH(WAS NOT SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS).WE HAD NO AVAILABLE LIFTS THAT DAY SO I WAS LIMITED ON WHAT I COULD DO.I DID FEEL LIKE IT MAY HAVE NEEDED MORE BREAK IN TIME POSSIBLY & ADVISED THAT POSSIBLY ADDITIVE/CONDITIONER MAY ASSIST BUT NEVER SAID THIS WOULD RESOLVE THE ISSUE.I DID ADVISE HIM TO DRIVE IT FOR A FEW DAYS TO SEE IF THAT WOULD HELP.HE LEFT THAT DAY WITH IT AND UNFORTUNATELY,IT DID ACT UP AGAIN.SO HE RETURNED AFTER ABOUT A WEEK OR SO & THIS TIME IT WAS OBVIOUS SOMETHING WAS WRONG.THE TRANSMISSION WAS TAKING OFF IN HIGH GEAR AND I WAS CERTAIN IT WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK OUT.IT WAS STRANGLY ODD THOUGH BECAUSE IT BEGAN TO WORK FINE AGAIN BEFORE WE DID ANYTHING TO IT. BUT WE WERE CONCERNED THAT THE INTERNAL PARTS MAY HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE &/OR COMPROMISED SO WE PULLED THE TRANSMISSION BACK OUT FOR INSPECTION.EVERYTHING LOOKED FINE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE 4TH GEAR CLUTCHES.THEY HAD A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF WHAT WE THOUGHT, LOOKED LIKE-IRREGULAR WEAR.BUT WE REPLACED ALL THE CLUTCHES AGAIN,TO BE SAFE.SO AFTER WE BUILT IT NOW,FOR THE 2ND TIME-WE PUT IT BACK TOGETHER & IT WAS WORKING FINE AGAIN WHEN IT LEFT.I ADVISED MR.****** OF WHAT ALL I FOUND AND WHAT WE HAD DONE.I WANTED TO LET HIM KNOW WHAT I FOUND ABOUT THAT CODE SO HE COULD HAVE THAT LOOKED INTO.I DO NOT CLAIM THAT THE CODES I FOUND-CAUSED DAMAGE,IT IS OUR CONCERN-THAT MAYBE THIS IS WHAT LED TO HIS DAMAGE.IF IT IS NOT RESOLVED IT MAY CONTINUE TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION.I AM SORRY HE HAS ADDITIONAL REPAIRS THAT NEED TO BE MADE BUT I NEVER GAURANTEED HE HAD NO OTHER PROBLEMS.I FEEL WE DID ALL WE COULD AND THEN SOME BUT CANNOT PLEASE HIM BY NO OTHER WAY BUT GIVING HIM HIS MONEY BACK.I DO NOT SEE THIS BEING AN OPTION WITH ALL THE TIME & PARTS WE PROVIDED.IF WE DID NOT FIND DAMAGE ON THE INITIAL INSPECTION,WE WOULD HAVE NOT PROCEEDED WITH THE REBUILD.I HAVE EXPLAINED THIS IN PERSON,AND BY EMAIL TO MR.****** AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE HIM UNDERSTAND THIS IS A SEPERATE REPAIR THAT IS OUT OF MY HANDS.ONCE AGAIN,I FEEL SORRY FOR HIM BUT FEEL LIKE HE'S ATTACKING ME FOR SOMETHING THAT ISN'T MY FAULT.IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO,FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME BY EMAIL OR YOU CAN CALL THE SHOP AT (407)699-0980 THANK YOU,DOMANICK B*****-MANAGER TRANSCO TRANSMISSION 7/13/23Business Response

IT'S SAD THAT SOME PEOPLE WILL GO TO SUCH GREAT LENGTHS TO GET OUT OF PAYING FOR SERVICES THEY REQUIRED AND NEEDED BUT THEN WANT TO DENY PAYMENT.IF HIS ENGINE HAD BLOWN UP AND WAS REPLACED AT ANOTHER SHOP & LATER FOUND OUT THAT IT HAD A ENGINE COMPUTER ISSUE AS WELL,WOULD HE DEMAND HIS MONEY BACK FOR THE ENGINE THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ALSO?I THINK NOT,BUT BY NOW I'M SURE HE WOULD SAY HE WOULDN'T HAVE HAD IT REPLACED UNLESS HE KNEW THAT WAS WHAT IT NEEDED.AND I'M SURE THAT UNLESS THAT OTHER SHOP DID THAT TYPE OF WORK,THEY WOULD NOT GUARANTEE ANY OTHER AREAS OF CONCERN THAT THEY DO NOT WORK ON.LIKE I WOULD NEVER GUARANTEE ELECTRICAL REPAIR/DIAGNOSIS HERE BECAUSE OUR SPECIALTY IS TRANSMISSION REBUILDING/REPLACING.IT IS ALSO PRETTY RUDE,I FEEL-THAT ON TOP OF HIM ASKING FOR THE REFUND FOR HIS TRANSMISSION REBUILD HE IS ALSO SEEKING A COMPLETE REFUND FOR ALL HIS WORK WE DID ON HIS CAR.MR KASSOO ALSO NEEDED A CV AXLE AND A MOUNT WHICH HE DID AUTHORIZE AS WELL SO WE REPLACED THOSE TWO ADDITIONAL ITEMS.Customer Answer
