    11/26/2024 I hired KG CAravan through Veritread to ship a HMMWV from *****, ca to *********, **. UPon arrival on 4 DEC 2024 the hood and drivers side mirror were missing. After a month of trying, veritread got ahold of the insurance company who stated that the shipper's coverage specifically excludes automobiles.Approximate cost of replacement with shipping is $5200.00 Both the shipper and Veritread refuse to pay and instead suggest that I can purchase the parts cheaper from a junkyard.I made a limited time offer to settle for $4000 which they agreed to, then missed the deadline.Veritread promises they only use the best properly licensed, bonded and insured shipping Companies. You are only provided a shippers bid and not given any information to verify a shipper yourself until after you pay for the shipping.I can email the conversations as well as the insurance companys declination of coverage.

    Thank you for the opportunity to address the concerns raised by Mr. ******* regarding his recent shipping experience with VeriTread. We believe this matter has been resolved following our reimbursement of $4,000 to Mr. ******** Below is a summary of the situation and our efforts to resolve it:

    VeriTread agreed to a settlement of $4,000 for the missing hood, which is significantly higher than the total purchase price of the ****** This payment was made in good faith to address the situation comprehensively. The "missed deadline" Mr. ******* referred to was an arbitrary deadline that he set himself. As part of our internal processes, VeriTread must complete certain compliance steps before processing reimbursements. While we sent the payment on time, it took a few additional days for the funds to reach Mr. ******** account. We can confirm that he received the settlement payment on Saturday, February 1, 2025, which he has accepted.

    Given that we have honored our agreement by paying the agreed-upon amount and follow best practices of the industry, we respectfully request that this complaint be removed.
