The absolute worst decision I made was choosing this condo. The pictures are incredibly deceiving and frankly are false advertising. My first sign should have been when no one would send me an email confirmation of my trip. When I opened the door to my room I was overwhelmed with a chemical smell of some sort. I was absolutely blown away by how run down the condo was: tears and stains on the couch, stains on the carpets, and not to mention a bug in the bed and tub. When I look at the side of the bed, I noticed what was either a urine stain or vomit stain on the side of the bed. That was enough for me to go back down and notify management of the quality of the room. I asked for a new room and the front desk staff member wasn’t sure she had one. She told me management was showing another property and she’d get back to me later on my situation. I waited by the pool for 3 hours for no one to notify me. When I walked in I reminded her I was still waiting and asked about my room; I know they closed at 5 and it was almost 4:30. I was given a new room. I go up to the new room and the second room was WORSE than the first. Bugs, dirt, and more stains. There was what appears to be black mold on the light switch in one of the bedrooms. I call down and ask management to come up to my room. I wanted to show them the room and ask how that’s possibly acceptable for nearly $3,000 a week. An “assistant housekeeping manager” came up to the room and was not sympathetic in the slightest bit. Through tears of exhaustion and disappointment, I asked about the mold and the smell. She said “I’m not aware of any black mold in this building.”By this time the office had closed and I was called by a manager. I was told I had an hour to make a decision for a refund or I could stay in my room. I scrambled looking for a place to book that night and had to spend an extra $500 on my trip. Please fix this place or the health department should really shut you down. I shouldnt be out extra money.
