    On 8/13/2022 at 11:50am I crossed the ***** Avenue Bridge. Undenounced to me, this was a privately owned toll bridge with no payment acceptance besides the easy pass. This bridge did not have labeling of how expensive the toll was, but did have a sign stating that if the vehicle was not found in the easy pass system a bill would be sent to the address on my registration. I would not have crossed the bridge if I'd known this information given I am away for college not at that location, and move every 3-9 months so I do not forward from my registered address. On Saturday November 25th while home for the holidays (at the address on my registration) a letter arrived from the ***** Avenue Bridge. Within the letter was an invoice for $40.50 ($5.50 was the toll fee, $15 was a late fee, and $20 was an admin fee), that threatened to send the bill to collections if this bill was not paid by the 21st of December 2022. My parents who own and reside at the address on my registration said they did not receive any other mail from them, which I expected as they always contact me when I get mail incase it is something important at which point they can mail it to my current address or leave it for when I return home next. I waited until Monday November 28th to call them as they were not open on the weekends. I was met with customer service agents who informed me that it was not their responsibility to inform me of this bill or provide instructions on how to pay the bill. I told them I thought it unjust to charge late fees for a bill I was never instructed on how to pay. On there website in order to login to pay the bill an account # or notice # is required, which can only be found on the notice itself. While on the phone with them, they removed the first late payment of $15 and I made the remaining payment of $25.50 out of fear they would send me to collections. I would've been happy to pay the toll, but it is not right that I had to pay late fees for a bill I was not told I had.
