    I hired ****** ******, doing business as FenceMaker LLC, to build a wooden privacy fence at my property. We paid a 50% deposit of $8,500 on 02/17/25 as agreed, but the project was plagued by numerous issues from the start. On 03/01/25, ****** demanded an additional payment of $500, for “additional supplies” which we made. We were never supplied with supply receipts or contract referencing cost of goods. On 03/04/25, he requested the remaining balance of $8300, which we also paid. Despite expressing concerns about the stability and quality of the fence throughout the process, we were reassured multiple times and told to “trust the process.” I have text msg and recorded phone conversations to attest to this.

    ****** promised us that the work would meet industry standards and promised a contract, but we never received one. At the end of the project, he told us to “pray for a good rain” to properly set the posts. Within weeks of completion, the fence began leaning and falling apart. We contacted ****** for repairs, but his visit only resulted in temporary fixes that did not resolve the ongoing issues. Our gate remains non-functional.

    In the midst of these ongoing issues, ****** tried to up-sell us on a new gate, despite the fact that the entire fence did not meet code and was falling apart. After I discovered that his LLC had been dissolved by the state last year, I confronted him about his fraudulent misrepresentation of himself as a legitimate business. Instead of responding, ****** went on Sunbiz on 04/13/25 to reinstate his LLC, clearly aware that I was reporting him to state and federal authorities for fraud.

    We’ve now had to hire a new company to demolish the fence and rebuild it from scratch. The cost to fix his shoddy work will amount to $18,125.81, and we have received no refund from ****** for the original payment of $17,300. This situation has caused us significant financial loss, stress, and inconvenience, and we are seeking action to resolve this matter.
