I checked into the ************************************ in ************* on 4 September 2024. My checkout date was originally 7 September but I extended my stay until 9 Sept. On 7 Sept. Approximately 6 or 7pm my friend who was driving me around showed up. She had parking permit from my initial stay on dash in plain sight. I had new parking pass in my room. Upon my rides arrival we decided to go out for dinner. When we went out to get in truck it was gone. I had new parking pass in hand to put in truck. It was about 30 to 45 minutes after my ride showed up. I got ahold of front desk of hotel to complain, they gave me towing company with phone number. I called them and they informed me no way they could return truck. I had logged in truck at my initial checkin at front desk. *********** stated to me that he had log from hotel and truck was not on hotel log, which was a lie. Front desk of hotel no longer had log for 4 September. The day before several witnesses at hotel saw tow truck driver trying to tow away woman's vehicle. She caught him and showed him new pass. Tow driver didn't care and proceeded to try and tow her vehicle. Lady jumped in her car and pulled forward over curb and through lawn to get away from him. I called tow company that night (the 7th) to tell them I had new pass and they didn't care. He did say that owner would be in next day. I called next morning I stated that he illegally towed my vehicle and he needed to return it. Of course he started cussing at me so I hung up. The hotel was no help with the matter either and I will submit another complaint just for them. The truck my friend who was driving around was using a truck borrowed from her x with his permission. Of course tow company would not release vehicle to anyone but owner. X is not available. I I feel terrible my friend, who was helping me out is without a vehicle and *************************** and Crash Recovery and Towing are not willing to help me with this matter.

Crash Towing was improperly contracted to tow a race car and personal property related to the vehicle. I was told I could retrieve car and possessions within 30 days. Business owner ********************* was well aware of my ownership of the car and property. Originally being a street vehicle converted to a race car, ***** claimed he ran the *** # and that the car was still titled to another party. He told my attorney *************************** that he needed to wait to see if the party claimed the vehicle under FL law, and that I could then retrieve the vehicle and my property if the party didnt claim the vehicle. He stated that if the party did claim the vehicle, that I would still be allowed to claim the other property. At this point, he stopped responding to my attorney. I made contact with him via ******** messenger on 8/7 and he stated the car and all its contents had been auctioned off. This is blatant theft. I maintain all receipts, pictures of property, and text message needed to prove my allegations.

********************* I'm the owner of crash recovery. We were called to remove a car that was abandoned on the property and we did as we do for more the 30 places in **************** fl. The car was impounded and the registered owner was notified of the car being in the impound lot and never showed to pic it up. The car was actioned of and noone showed so the car and everything inside now belongs to the tow company. Throught the state of fl. Thank you if you need copy's of all paper filed and action views please contact use at **********.

I am rejecting this response because:

I never authorized Crash Recovery and Towing to take possession of my property.

A process server served them notice of such and I was in the process of putting things together so I could make the over 3 hour drive across the state to retrieve my property.. The people who contracted with Crash were aware that all of the property was mine as evidenced by the  text to my attorney from the party . It clearly shows ownership on my part. As stated before, my attorney attempted to obtain release of my property and ************** stated he ran the *** and the car was not titled to me. Of course it wasnt as it has been a race car for several years. It is not a street vehicle and is not registered. It is not used on public road, but rather private property. Parts containing an assortment of *** numbers may be contained on the vehicle as they are heavily modified. The gears inside of it are from a ***** Cobalt while the vehicle is a Cavalier for example. He further stated he had to send legal letters to the owner on the title and I could come get the car after the legal waiting period and all the equipment. He continued to string my attorney along as this was a scheme to keep my property all along and he had zero intention of releasing it. ************** owns and races ***** Cavaliers in the same racing class as myself, and the car and parts were of great interest to him for his own personal gain. He clearly has a motive to steal them and created this legal ruse. He claims the car was auctioned and my attorney notified of the auction date prior in a message he sent me. This is false. Please provide any proof of that. There is none and this was planned all along to keep my property.

    Sincerely,
