    On 4/26 I had this company move me from one home to another - their contract states that you paid an upfront $165 holding fee that will be deducted off total at the end, also states charges $1 to $2 per mile round trip along with a fuel surge charge. Disambley and Reasembly are included. OK lets get started - the $165 was NOT deducted - the mileage was not written that it starts at their location so what i thought was 13 miles turned into 136 miles - charged me $30 to reassmble my bed. After round and round and $1,142 of paying them I was told I would receive the $165 back to my checking account, I have left multiple texts and emails and 6 days later still have not received the monies back when actually i believe i deserve more I accepted the fact of the $165 but ***** (Owner) has now blocked my contact

    Hello *****, after reviewing the contract you signed on your move date of 04/25/2024 you were aware of the $30 bed assemble/disassemble. $1 per mile meaning we calculate all miles driven to complete your move. Your mileage for that day totaled to ***** miles. **** you called for a quote, I texted you a break down of your start total. Per my quotes, I list a booking fee and a deposit. A booking fee is only to secure your date and time. If you cancel your booking fee is nonrefundable. For your specific move,you were not charged a deposit which is taken out of your total move. You were only told to pay a booking fee, which was also told to you over the phone as well. Some companies charge a deposit and or a booking fee which is something that Lamars Moving does. It is not to be deceptive but to simply reduce cancellations,secure guaranteed payment for reservations, it secures the time and date of your move, plus it also covers some company costs.

    *****- no where does it state mileage starts from wherever your uhaul is parked for one and secondly you agreed to refund me back the $165 and said you had done it and check my bank in 7-10 days then blocked me!!!!

    Hello *****, once again you agreed to all my terms and proceeded with signing my contract. All charges were discussed when booking with me. The $165 is a booking fee. It is to secure your service date and time only.This is nonrefundable if you cancel. If cancellation occurs,you will be responsible for paying another booking fee for your service to be secured. This fee is not included in your
    service total. If Lamars Moving LLC cancels your services your booking fee will be refunded. These terms were discussed over the phone with you when booking.

    That is a flat out lie ***** and you know it, if that were true I would have never filed a complaint nor the other complaints anywhere possible about this business.  When we discussed afterwards on the phone you agreed to send back the $165 and said Id have it in 7-10 business days.  You did not honor that.  You called yourself an honest business but that is far from the truth.  You made almost $1200 on that move and want to argue about the $165 that you promised Id get back.  I will continue to let others know not to use your service as so no one else has this experience.  Just do the right thing and issue me the $165 back again as promised!!!

    Its unfortunate you feel this way. Your move was explained in great detail in the contract that you signed and paid with your move completed on 4/25/24. Your move was handled carefully, appropriately, and within a timely manner. The $165 was a non refundable fee.

    You still are not answering the question which just proves how much more dishonest you are.  You agreed to refund the $165 for any misunderstanding and said it was done and I would receive it in 7-10 business days so until then I will continue to spread the word of how dishonest your company is.  I have filed complaints with other companies as this is not fair.  You seriously should be ashamed of how you represent your own name and just stand behind your word.  PERIOD

    This is like a broken record! NO it was not explained to me for one and second after explaining to ***** that it was NOT explained properly regarding mileage, gas fee, hold fee etc HE PROMISED AND SAID HE REFUNDED THE $165 and I SHOULD SEE IT IN 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS.  AGAIN I HAVE TOLD EVERYONE AND POSTED DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY A HUGE HUGE RIP OFF!!!!  Stop repeating that it was all explained when it was not!!!! You people are ridiculous and just continue lying and its so so sad.   He got paid almost $1200 for my move and the ONLY THING I ASKED WAS THE $165 back!!!
