    I took my car for an oil change on 04/05/2025on 04/19/2025 I drove to ***** however in ***** my car stopped working in the middle of the expressway I had to get towed to a mechanic shop, once there a diagnostic check was performed and was determine my car did not have any oil in the motor which cause my engine to blow On April 29 I contacted Take 5 via phone when my son told me that Take 5 should take care of my problem due to it was them who changed my oil since my car is un drivable and still in *****. When I spoke to customer care I was informed that the Take 5 I took my car was a franchise I had to handle the claim through them They did however submitted a claim for me. About two days later I received a call from *** the manager and gave him detail of my problem letting him I had no car due to it still being in my *****. He said he would look into the claim. Days went by and nothing from the manager or Take 5. I called a few times with no luck getting through I emailed **** who was the one to help me out at first with the claim and let her know I have not received a call back from *** after my initial contact with *** A day later after speaking with **** I received a call from *** saying that Take 5 claim needed milage from my car which I explained to him my car is in ***** I live in ********* and was not able to provide such info at the time He did not emphasize the importance of knowing the milage and said he will submit the claim and I will be contacted. About 3 weeks pass and no contact. I called again and when I spoke to *** he said my claim was denied die to no milage and too much time has passed for a claim I disagreed and asked to speak with someone higher I also mentioned no one has bothered to ask me were did I take the car to verify my information he promised me someone higher up them him will contact me and to this date nothin Ive had to rent cars take **** and borrow cars to get to workMy car was in perfect running condition prior to the oil change

    The car was a perfect running car before taking it to take 5 to get an oil change when the car lights all started to pop up as were driving and the car stalled out in front of take 5 when they said the car was ready then we push it back to take 5 and they work on it again ultimately ending with an at oil temp and check engine still on after they admitted fault to over oiling the car

    I showed up Jan 5, 2025 to get an oil change. I was presented a new filter which was passed down to the technician working on my car and told that it was going to be installed as part of their service. During the process they talked me into other services, which I paid for, but now don't know if they completed properly, as it turned out with the oil change the oil cap wasn't replaced properly to the tune of losing 1 qt of oil overnight, and the original oil filter was still installed. It's literally step 2 of their oil change process to replace the filter, which was paid for and didn't happen. I've since contacted both the physical store location directly, as well as corporate, and was told it would be up to the 'franchise location' to address my issue, to which the franchise have yet to contact me back. They lied to my face, charged me for services I didn't receive, and are now ignoring me.

    MR ******* WAS SUPPOSED TO COME BACK TO THE SHOP IT HAPPENED AT HE CALLED THE SHOP IN THE BEGINING OF THE WEEK AND SAID HE WAS OUT OF TOWN TILL FRIDAY THE STORE MANAGER SAID TO COME TO THE SHOP ON FRIDAY 1/10/2025 WHEN HE GOT BACK IN TO TOWN  AND HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF HIM. MR ******* NEVER SHOWED UP TO THE SHOP.  MR ********* CLAIM HAS BEEN APPROVED AND THE ACCOUNTING OFFICE WILL EITHER SEND HIM AND CHECK OR THEY WILL CALL HIM AND HAVE HIM COME TO THE STORE TO REFUND TO HIS CREDIT CARD

    Approximately June 10th 2023 I took my Dodge Avenger to take five to get a simple oil change. They up sold me a radiator flush. When they finally came out of the pit they told me it took a while because they couldn't get the oil pan bolt out. Well by the time I got home and which I'm resting a block away all the fluid is gushing out the bottom of my *********** you when I went there I didn't even have a oil leak I've been calling and calling since June 11th. Sometimes two three times a day. Sending emails getting no response. 283 radiator flush turned into a **** water pump and timing chain malfunction. They sent me to their personal mechanic. He called back to them and let them know they were being too rough and they had it to be gentle and they broke the housing they sent me to this mechanic. Ever since he gave the estimate that they told me to go get from the mechanic, I cannot seem to get past ****** the shop manager to reach out or to get me in touch with the owners. I've been calling every day. I've called corporate. They say that's a franchise. It's not under their umbrella but they send emails. Also if they're keeping track of them I'm sure there's more than 10 I sent one to the shop from my personal email. Still no response I need help to rectify the situation the car is paid for. I still have to work hard every day. Child support and children are not cheap. I just want to be able to get back and forth without worrying about my car overheating which will cause me having to either replace head gaskets or get a whole other engine. I did nothing to deserve this. At least should be able to get a call back from corporate or the franchise owner. I work across the street from take 5 and I live on the other side of take 5. Can BBB help?

    I have had the chance to speak with **************** on the issue . This is an internal waterpump and timing chain. There is no way possible for anyone doing an oil change or coolant service to be to rough and damage internal parts.

    I will help with a refund on my part for services performed on that date to help resolve the issue.

    We will not be repairing any waterpump or timing chains. Note *************** bought this car recently and there is no telling if the vehicle was maintained prior to purchase.

    I am rejecting this response because:. I have been back to take five twice and spoke to the same manager who now tells me it's a civil suit. No one has reached out to me or tried to have a conversation with me since the incident happened. Again, I've tried to get my refund twice and got the run around. Matter of fact I'm just leaving there at 4:00 look at the tape. In front of my Wife is something else. Civil. I've tried to resolve this for months how much longer can this go on?

    This matter has been closed on my part,I followed up with BBB,at that point *************** failed to respond and case was then closed. He has since then been harassing staff and being belligerent. Sorry he is not satisfied,but there will not be any repair being completed by us at this point.
