Transaction date 3/15/2025 $49.98, I cancelled the service, via email, 10 minutes after they billed me for $49.98. I was told they would 'research my account and give me a disposition withing 48 hours'. On 3/19/2025 (96 hours later) I once again emailed the compay regarding cancelling the account. I received 2 aggressive emails advising me to try the service. I responded I did not want the service and never wanted the service. I was then told I could try the service or receive a refund of $30.00. They said the $19.98 was non-refundable. This site charged my credit card without telling me the amount and giving me the option to decide for myself whether I wanted to pay that price. It tells you to enter your information and then it will take you to a page that tells you the price. When you enter the info, it sends you an email thanking you and telling you that it has already got your money. I never even used their service. I immediately requested a refund.Business Response

My son went to jail on 9/17/24 and was released on 9/18/24. I had to use Global Tel Link to receive calls from him in ****************** in ******, **. I set up the account online with my phone number of **************. I added *****. He called home several times leaving a balance of $45.31 which is owed to me. I have contacted ******'s **************** twice in reguards of my refund of $45.31 and have yet to receive my funds. I talked to ******* on 10/8/24 and he said it would be 6 to 10 weeks. Never received it nor his confirmation email. I deceided to try again on 1/15/25 speaking with **** and he said same information and never received confirmation email. I want my money and I refuse to talk to customer service again because they have not helped.Business Response

ViaPath Technologies dba Global Tel Link bills for calls from MD_DOC-Correctional Training (MCTC) on a per-minute basis. Our Special Jail numbers can work with any facility in the ** no matter what phone provider it is served by.

On June 3, 2024, I purchased a calling service through the SecuTel.us website to speak with an inmate. On the promotion page, it stated that I would be sent a special phone number to give to the inmate so they could use that number to call me. I didn't receive the phone number I emailed them several times and talked to them on the phone and I was given the runaround, no phone number was provided they refused to give me a refund. I would also like to add that when I paid for the subscription they tried to charge me three times what I was supposed to be charged which was $45.98 they tried to charge me $137.94 my bank did not allow the three payments to go through and they called me to confirm that I purchased the phone subscription I told my bank that I only authorized one payment of $45.98 I have been a victim of fraud in the past someone tried to steal $400.00 from my bank account using Apple Pay and my bank blocked it. I should have seen the red flag when they wanted to charge me three times instead of one payment of $45.98 I trusted them so I told my bank that I only purchased one subscription. I tried getting a full refund but they keep sending me emails the last email stated that I had to subscribe to a third-party phone subscription company, and I replied that I was not going to get a third party to get the service that they are supposed to provide, I told them that I want a full refund. This is why I am reaching out to the Better Business Bureau I don't want other people getting scammed like I have. And I want a full refund. They emailed me a receipt with no account number and the link that they have is not valid it doesn't work. And I can't save the receipt it doesn't let me I have to take screenshots. I signed up with this company confusing it for another one that is similar. They did not confirm the charge of $45.98 before charging my card, their website was not clear that my card was going to be charged for just setting up an account. I **************************** tried to chat with them to cancel as they advertise on the portal 24/7 chat agents available, reached and auto reply bot only for them to want to charge me again to get me to a live person. Had I of known they were going to charge me just to set up the account I would have not attempted to create one. They do not have clear instructions on their website nor do they offer any kind of assistance directly on the site to cancel other than the chat for another business and charge to get someone to help you. I have called and no one answered and have emailed twice waiting on a response. I thought i was setting up an inmate telephone fund for *******************After creating the account, i discover it is not such a service. They then sent an email with a link to go to another website to link the account. (!!!)I checked my email and they billed me $45.98 in which i did not approve nor was asked.When asked to refund and cancel on the same day, they stated they could but they would charge me $14.99 to cancel.They also have a helpdesk service (sorry dont remember the name) that wanted to charge $1 for help.
