    This is the worst location I’ve ever been to. Almost all of the equipment has ripped seats or is damaged and non-functional. This is the only place I’ve been to where the fridge has a pad lock and doesn’t sell muscle milk. It’s very depressing to workout at this location and the should shut down.

    this Newark location is the most poorly run/maintained gym I have ever seen in my entire life. There are currently about six or seven machines that are unusable because they are broken and they have been that way for at least six months. And this is completely normal for this location. There is always something broken and it stays that way for a ridiculous amount of time. It’s getting to the point where I can’t even complete a full workout because there’s not enough available working equipment. Last summer, the air conditioning in the gym was broken for the entire summer. The whole gym was like a sauna for the entire summer. I’m convinced that management is either clueless or has just completely neglected this gym. It’s a disgrace to the business and a disgrace to make people pay for a membership for this. i’m considering moving to a gym other than planet fitness because this display has been just disgraceful.

    I would not recommend. I walked in canceled my membership on April 15th, was given cancellation document by email that said last day to use club is 4-16-2023 but was still charged. Refunded by my bank, only for club to turn around and charge me in May for same payment. When I asked to be refunded was told billing starts 10th of every month. So it was to late to stop, but manager can refund. I asked to speak to manager was told she would call in 2 weeks. Never heard from her, called again. Was told she will call, never called. I'm no longer interested in using club and would like a refund. Not a good experience in customer service. I would not recommend this club. You cant not just take advantage of your customers like that, charging membership fees after cutting off their club use. I will dispute with bank and report to Better Business Bureau.
