    I am writing to file a formal complaint against *************************, a licensed contractor in the state of [State], for ongoing delays and failure to complete my construction project located at *************************************Project Background:I entered into a written contract with *********************** on March 29, 2021 for the construction of a 9-unit building.The agreed-upon completion date was about a year's time.The total contract price was 1.5 million.Issues and Concerns:Despite the contract and multiple walkthroughs, the project remains unfinished as of present. This includes:List of outstanding punch list items List of deficient items noted by the Department of Buildings (DOB)List of outstanding items on the architect's punch list The contractor repeatedly delays addressing these issues and completing the project, citing various excuses like needing more payment or requiring additional walkthroughs.We have already conducted numerous walkthroughs without resolution, and these delays are causing significant financial hardship due to:financial hardships caused by delays, lost income potential, delay receiving my C of O, etc.I believe these delays and the contractor's conduct *** constitute consumer fraud, as they are:********* the terms of the contract: By failing to complete the project by the agreed-upon date and according to the agreed-upon standards.Engaging in deceptive practices: By making false promises about completing the work and using excuses to avoid fulfilling their obligations.Causing financial harm: Through the significant financial hardship resulting from the delays.I urge your office to investigate this matter and take appropriate action against ************************* for their alleged violations of consumer protection laws.
