I had transmission work done in Dec 2022 that was faulty because the wrong bolts were attached to my car. In March 2023 I was out of state with my child and the car shut off while I was driving. I had the vehicle towed to a local shop and they told me the issue was because of incorrect bolts on the transmission and further work needed to be done. I has filed a complaint with Midas customer relations and a regional VP named Tyler P******** reached out. He made me think and the local shop that has my car currently that everything would be handled and that all he need was a quote for the wprk to be done. We are now a week later and Tyler has not reach out or followed up with me or the other mechanics. My car is not only noto ups but it is in another state and I am not equipped to move it myself. I want Midas to pay for the work that needs to be done where the car is currently. I am unable to get in contact with another supervisor which has resulted in this complaint.

I had my front transfer case supposedly properly repaired and it seems that either the part was defective or improperly installed per pep boys as I had to have it repaired again through my insurance company in under the warranty time frame of the first installation. I was told by Midas that they weren't going to redo the job of the transfer case unless I bought new tires from them because they needed to be all the same brand of tires. The tires I had on were all the same sizes ordered through and approved by my dealership where I purchased the vehicle. So now Midas is paid twice for the same job that wasn't properly fixed the first time (Front transfer case)and then forced me to pay an additional $1000 that I had to borrow for tires that I didn't need. I am a single parent of two working part time struggling with health issues every single day to make a living off almost nothing and should not had been forced to buy tires upon a faulty job that they messed up. My tire brands had nothing to do with my transfer case going for a second time as I explained to the person at Midas. Not every single vehicle on the road has all the same brand tires and I doubt is losing a transfer case. It doesn't logically make sense. I would like a refund of my money as I shouldn't have been forced to buy tires from there that wasn't needed but yet they still got paid twice for the transfer case also which was still under warranty of parts and labor of 2 years or 24000 miles according to the corporate office which I didnt exceed either. Unbelievable nightmare indeed. I shouldn't have had to buy tires from them just so they could make up something to try and cover the fact that something went wrong with the first installation of the transfer case. My tires were good as I take my travel very seriously for me and my kids safety. I was told to that even if I needed a spare one day in the future that it would have to be the same brand as the others. I've been driving for a very long time and know that isn't true.

I brought my car to Midas ********** on 10/22/23 to have a charcoal canister and purge valve installed. The installation was completed and they charged me an extra $100 than originally agreed upon because of new clamps etc needed and the location of the canister. After I picked up the car it was making a strange noise previously not there with a new check engine code present.

I brought my car back to Midas a few days later and they claimed they didn’t hear the car noise. They kept the car all day for a complimentary check on my car. When I went to pick up my car at end of day they were rude and aggressive and yelling unnecessarily at me saying they couldn’t reach me even though every time I called them I was put on hold, hung up on or told to call back and then to just show up. They put oil in the car but it was still making noise and had the check engine light on.
Both times I had brought my car to Midas they gave me pages of b.s things my car needed including back breaks and drums I had just gotten. I brought my car to ****** who completed an inspection on the car and told me that when Midas installed the charcoal canister they broke the connecting fuel hose on the canister. The damage was apparent and would have been obvious to the mechanic had it actually occurred prior to the installation of the canister. ****** said that it would cost approximately $470 to fix the problem. I called Midas complaint hotline ************** a total of 4 different times, days apart to tell them this and each time they said they’d have someone call me back within a few days. The last time I spoke to them they hung up after I asked when will they call me back??? It’s been over a month/ almost two months with no response I have no working car, and I let Midas hotline know this. I’d like Midas to pay for my car fixed at ****** and pay for the repairs and reimburse the $160 for the inspection as well. I don’t trust Midas.m. It’s been too long and there has been no response from Midas

My car needed a muffler. My normal service station quoted me $700, I went for my oil change about 4 months later and the cost went up to $1,400. I was told the catalytic needed to be replaced. I went to Midas to get a quote. Midas' quote was $1,200 so I agreed to do it. I got a ride home from a person at Midas. About 1/2 hour after I got home, Midas called to tell me the cost would be an additional $1,000!!! I told them to put whatever they took off back on, I did not want them to do the job. A semi sympathetic manager said he understood why I would be upset but I need the converter. I told him it was supposed to be included in the $1,200. The manager seemed to be used to these complaints, was very calm. My original repair order total was $1,225.13, the adjusted repair order total after I told them to fix the amount back to the original came to $1,841.96. The new amount was adjusted by the employee that gave me the original quote, said it was coming out of his pay. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO UPLOAD THE PAPERWORK. I CAN FAX.
