My wife and I drove 700 miles to ************** to purchase a 7 month old Weimaraner puppy (Cal) for $2000 from *************************, Pendar Weimaraners. ***** told us that she held back Cal from the litter because he was the best of the breed and wanted to train him for shows. The handler did 3 fun shows and *** did not do well, according to *****, *** rolled around the ground like a tuna. ***** stated that the handler abused Cal, but later denied it in a different phone call. Many times after we picked up Cal, we reached out to ***** because of how fearful and skittish that Cal was around me. *** took to my wife (******) 100% and zero to me, that was very depressing since we drove 700 miles one way, spent the night in a hotel, and paid $2k for an abused weim. We also noticed a defect in Cals tail which ***** stated the vet cut too short when docking it and to use Vetericyn to heal it. That didnt help as the hair has not grown around the tip of the tail. We suspect an injury. Issues I was having with Cal: he will not go outside for me, walks away from me in the house, barks at me in the house, he wont come to me or do any commands. Cal definitely was not properly socialized during the important 8 to 12 weeks period. On several occasions, ***** agreed to take Cal back and refund $1500. On 2 occasions, the night before we and ***** would meet half way in ********, **, ***** stated that she would not have the money and would send a cashiers check at a later date. We did not trust her since she lied about the reasoning both times why she would not have the money. We told ***** we needed the money for the exchange. ***** told me to just keep the dog. We have been lied to many times and have been scammed paying top dollar for a 7 month weim pup that was clearly abused possibly by more than one male. ***** should have been upfront with us on any issues with Cal before we made the purchase. In fact, ***** should not have sold this weim pup to anyone.
