    I rented a condo from Goldenwoods for 2 months, lots of minor issues with the unit while I stayed (toilet refilling constantly, bathtub doesn't stop running, light fixtures were damaged in the ceiling on move-in, front window screen was damaged and shoved into the slot, armoir in bedroom was broken and wouldn't close, not particularly clean on move in (stains on walls in bathroom, oven dirty)). This wasn't a huge deal to me, so I cleaned it myself and stayed the 2 months (I did advise multiple team members at Goldenwoods that my condo had issues. I then spoke with the manager at the condos when I was about to move out, she advised that I wouldn't need to clean the unit, however I cleaned the unit top to bottom anyway (to ensure I received my deposit) and I waited a week to hear back. They reached out and fed me absolute lies about the unit (it took 6 hours to clean apparently, if they were this dedicated the unit should have been clean upon my arrival), and stated that I would not receive my deposit back. I advised that they should really show some integrity and they refused.

    As stated to you directly, after your departure, the condo you occupied required 6 hours of deep cleaning by two members of our experienced cleaning staff.  This relates to 12 hours of cleaning.  As stated, you spoke with the general manager, in person, and she did inform you of the condition you left the condominium in, which was why you did not receive your deposit back.  We are aware that you are very unhappy about this which is why you are filing complaints with google and the BBB.  The condominium required 2 hours of steam cleaning alone, due to the condition the carpets were left in.  Excessive dog hair was left on the floors and furniture.  The general manager spoke with you in person and you stormed out of the condo, unwilling to listen to the reasons why your deposit was not returned.  None of the issues you claimed, after your departure, where brought to managements attention during your stay.  We understand that the condo was out of your budget and you found a cheaper place to rent, but that is not a reason to file complaints.  Deposits are not returned when a unit is left in the condition that you left the condo in.  Again, we wish you luck in the future.
